Prey. Boring, bland, gimmicky.. it felt like Quake (which, by the way, I disliked as well) only I didn't have anything but poorly designed railgun type weapons that felt like toy guns and a "phasewalk" ability which was just "oh, look, you can go through these types of doors which you normally can't, but you can still take damage, die etc." Also, what fun is there in a game where you have to actually TRY to die? "If you go down, you can shoot 'spirits' to regain strength"... boring, overrated, crap.

Modern Warfare, Final Fantasy XIII, and MGS. I hate that nonsensical plot. FFXIII is well...a load of crap in every way.

I would say i didn't think Mass Effect 2 was good as much as people said it would be but i didn't hate it, just thought i could live without it.

I hated Resident Evil 5 cos it took what i loved about the games and tossed it out the window.

Check out Halo 3, it's not repetetive, it's fun and... okay - sucky? that's not a reason, that's an insult.

OT: Counter Strike Source was meh, but I had fun with Bots. I loved DoD:S though!

Same here. I played it, didnt see what the fuss it was all about. Its was boring, linear to hell, and made me feel like my presence and imput were completely unnessesary (if not unwanted) for the "game" to continue.

Hate is too strong a word, but I thought Dragon Age: Origins and Bioshock were highly overrated. I still finished DA:O and played Bioshock for quite some time, but IMO there was really nothing special about them.

I'm going to get scalped for this... but my choice is the original Fallout. My friends literally jizz themselves when they talk about it, but I simply don't have the attention span. It's not that it's an older game, I'll play nethack and other rouge-like games all day, the pace it just too slow, and not having a reminder of what quest you are on is pretty annoying.

I kind of lost interest in the Grand Theft Auto series. When 3 came out it was fun because of the whole sandbox concept but even then I never cared for the actual storyline or characters. They're just wholly unlikeable imho.

I would have to say Half Life 2. (And episodes)
It's the story of a power-armored non-character fighting generically evil aliens using generic weapons in a grey/brown wasteland/dystopian city

Sure you aren't thinking of Fallout 3?

The difference is in execution. Fallout 3's lone wanderer isn't a non-character, they have lines which you choose during ingame dialogue, you can make choices, and you can see that the character is in fact more than a floating pair of hands. There are quirky homemade guns, and lazor guns. The aliens are only DLC. The grey/brown is justified because last I checked nukes don't make things colorful. Power armor is optional.

Morrowing and Oblivion. I simply hate the combat system for these two games. Got bored of them in the first 10 minutes.

At Morrowing I tried a Warrior but I was annoyed that you didn't had any combos to do with a sword just basic swings, I guess the game is more than that but I just couldn't play it cause I was to bored.

And years later at Oblivion, I really like how it looked but again the combat system ruined it for me, tried a Mage this time and I was again annoyed that in order to cast to spell, you had to Press 1-c, 2-c, 3-c to cast spells.
