I'd say he should cooperate fully with the government in obtaining any information they need to hunt down or prosecute any remaining Nazi war criminals and then he can plead guilty at his trial and enjoy his life (or death, depending where he is prosecuted) sentance.
I actually wouldn't sentence him to jail or any prison. I would make him a tour guide at Auschwitz. However, I enjoy ironic punishments.

In all honesty, I'd just whip out a gun and shoot the fuck, then walk out of there.

as much as I hate saying this, repentence in his case isnt going to make me even cringe...

the man killed people out of ideals, thinking that its his duty...
eternal imprisonment in a small cell with minimal food to drive him crazy is what I would prefer, but since I dont believe in excessive punishment as a form revenge, even with this special case, I would say a life sentence, life everyone else...

of course, given the possibility, who the hell knows what will really happen?

I wouldn't believe a word he says. He's a talker. I don't trust Talkers.

To that End, I would make him watch My Little Pony and Rebbecca Black's "Friday", over and over again.....FOREVER!

The former to test if his heart is still too Evil to accept Friendship being Magic (Btw, to clarify, I like the show). The latter as punishment.

First off he would have to be put through the same system that the other nazi-leaders (that was trialed) went through. After that there isn't much he would be able to do because even if there weren't any deathsentence to give him, he would probably get the hardest sentence to ever be given to a man outside the deathsentence. So he would probably rot away in prison for the rest of his days.

"Turn your genocidal tendencies against Tehran, Pongyang, and Mecca and we'll call it even."

He's not gonna flip a 180, so I figured redirecting him towards a greater good would be more productive.

If by some magic it was clear, with no doubt, he was really sorry, I would say "Apology accepted.". That's the only option if you consider yourself civilized.

Probably have him to become a lecturer explain why it wrong to hate and start a war. He must also do this throughout the globe.

"kill yourself"

Seriously, there are some crimes that are so severe that humanity cannot and should not ever forgive them. Genocide is one.

He spins in one complete circle?
I think he meant "flip a 720". Flipping a 360 is doable for Hitler if he gets enough air, but I don't know if he's skilled with a snowboard.

Hitler would be killed for war crimes. Nazis who did far less and confessed and tried to apologize were killed for war crimes. Hitler himself wouldn't stand a chance.

Why should any Americans decide this? I Think the people he should step in front of and ask forgiveness should be the people he hurt directly and go to those countries and perform services for them (like Israel and Poland). But in my honest opinion I think this would be similar to a Black person asking for reparations from the white family that once held his/her family as slaves, no amount of "reparations" or money will undo the horrible deeds committed. Just like with ex-slave families, the people hurt just need to move past this and not dwell in the past, it won't do anyone any good.
