Adolf Hitler's suicide in his Berlin bunker has been called into question after American researchers claimed that a bullet-punctured skull fragment long believed to belong to the Nazi dictator is, in fact, that of an unknown woman.

But the skull could have come from anywhere, some Russian soldier wanting to impress some commissar could have picked a skull fragment up and claimed it was salvaged from the ashes, the Russian's, wanting a war trophy would have been happy to believe him, and possibly not bothered later on, even when the technology became available, to test if the skull really was Hitler's.

hmm, that's interesting.

i was never really satisfied with his death by suicide anyway though: it was too kind. suicide is controlling your method of leaving the world, and that was something he did not deserve control over.

question is, how did he die? or could he be still alive somewhere, living out a miserable existence (part of me really hopes that is the case, but the other part of me wants him to have died slowly and painfully).
