So? I'm guessing if you've checked out the store, you've seen Infamous 2 demo sitting there waiting to be given a go.

Have you played it? What do you think?

inFamous 2 download ENGAGED!....Wait...

...2498 MB?...DAMMIT! This is going to take me hours!

My internet seems to be moving faster than normal. Maybe I'll be able to reward myself with the demo after my run in a few hours.

Done. I'll play it later, I'm tired.

Playing it now, I see quite a few improvements and things I think could be refined if they still have time, but it's pretty fun. After all, if it ain't broke.

Good to see the gameplay and animations are far more fluid and less stiff like the first one was.

Played the first two sections and stopped as I want to save the rest for Tuesday when I pick it up.

Definitely more refined and smoother overall experience. The good and evil powers have more of a difference this time it seems. The only power I didn't use much was the "throw an object/car" power(didn't feel natural on the controller and the range wasn't good). And I really like how much faster you can move about the city.

I was one of the guys worried about the new voice actor and I have to say I didn't care within a couple minutes. The new guy does well maybe better than the previous guy.

edit: Oh, and how could I forget? It is fun.

I'm in the opposite there. The moment I gained that power, I just went nuts and threw cars at EVERYTHING.

Never give me telekinetic-like powers. It never ends well for people.....

OT: It's definitely a step above the first. My only complaint is that the on-foot aiming feels weird. Having the screen on the right but firing with the left hand.... it just doesn't feel right and it kinda fucks with my aim.

Anyone else notice the movie name easter eggs in the second part? Assasin's Need (Love too), Call of Booty, Uncharted Love, Hey,Low Reach, and others. Nice to see they're putting a bit more comedy in the game.

It's downloaded, eventually I'll get around to play it. Right now since we are getting Infamous for free, I want to play through that and then Infamous 2, so I can play the game in sequence.

Throwing cars was the easiest way to deal with The Devourer for me. Actually, I didn't even know you could hurt it without using the cars at first...(I shot off a bunch of Rockets, but they didn't do any damage so I figured the game wanted me to use the new power...which did do damage.)

My internet is being super slow right now, I shall download it later. Can't wait for the Welcome Back stuff to be available, I haven't gotten to play Infamous yet and it's been bothering the hell out of me with the second one looking so awesome.

I actually wasn't all that interested in Infamous 2 before I played the demo. I was still bitter that Sucker Punch kowtowed to Infamous fans and changed the (much-improved) character back to that awful first version.

However the mechanical improvements are superb. The simple fact that the regular lightning attack fires like an automatic would have alone been enough. But everything, the static thrusters, the aiming, the climbing motions, even just running is just BETTER. I can't wait.

I was very surprised at the huge improvements they made to the game, my only complaint is that the regular lighting attacks don't feel strong enough. Maybe it's because I'm not using it fully auto, and using it more like the first game.

Still, I don't have the money to buy any game I want right now, but maybe I'll give it a rent.

The only complaint i can find is that it seemed a little to easy. I was able to kill both bosses by spamming grenades, the second boss barely moved. I just spammed grenades in his mouth and he died in like six seconds.

However i have faith it's probably just because it's a demo. Either that or i'm going to have to play on hard... Which will suck because my luck with games is medium is like ripping paper and hard is like trying to rip titanium.

With your dick.

Aside from that everything is better. The combat is better, going full auto or sparkler bombing people as evil. The amp is pretty fucking sweet. Gotta love swiping out peoples feet then home run smacking them away. Everything about it still feels awesome. No other game has ever made me feel as in control of my character as infamous, even going so far as letting me choose which hand to shoot from.

Tuesday is to damn far away...

Eh, I'll agree that the inFamous 2 does give you a great deal of control over the character (More than Uncharted 2 even, and that game has a very special place in the empty hole in my chest where a heart goes.)

A big problem I have with Cole is his running, though. He runs faster than a dang car, which means it's REALLY hard for precision movement, and following normal people (Like the woman in the beginning and the 'sacrifice'.) becomes a severe chore because you could run three laps around the city in the time it takes them to traverse a (mostly) empty alleyway. Aside from that, it was a really great demo.

Cole's running takes a fair bit of time to get used to. However i promise you if you get into the game and play for awhile you will not only get used to it, it will almost seem slow. The sheer size of the city is probably misrepresented by the demo. The first game the city is simply... massive.

Since you clearly have a PS3 I'd say choose infamous as one of your free games. It's an amazing game and something to try if you liked the demo. I mean it's free, and after about maybe an hour of playing the first you will be able to control Cole McGrath like he was a second you.

On a side note, yes, i would have to admit i might be a bit of a fanboy of this game.

That was...exaggeration. I didn't mean that you could literally run three laps around the city in the time it took them to walk 20 feet.

I'd planned on it, actually. inFamous and Dead Nation were my two choices.

Not to be an ass or anything, but you kind of missed the point I was making. Cole runs faster than the cars drive...which is fine. What isn't fine is that the civilians they make you escort move so damn slowly when compared to super-speed Cole. Also, I had difficulty picking up the packages in the last mission. I would run past it by just a bit...then tap the analog stick in the direction of the package...and watch Cole run just far enough past it that I couldn't pick it up. Again.

The prick.

That was always my qualm, even in the first game, quite tedious, all the more tedious if they accidentally get killed and have to do it all over again ¬_¬

At the same time, it was frustrating how long it would take to get from one part of the city to another in the older game, he runs faster, jumps higher, grinds easier and flys longer and easier in this game, so I can imagine travel won't be as excrutiating.

I like the rapid fire of the good karma, I also like the idea of rapid fire = weak, none rapid = strong.

I know, what i mean pretty much is once you get used to it, you'll be thankful for it. Cole being able to run like a mother fucker is useful when there are twenty or so bastards charging you. Like i said originally the game was oddly easy, as from the first game that hallway would have been swarming with people trying to beat him down. The speed is necessary cause your going to want to run ahead to clear out baddies before the civi gets closer, but still need to run back if an ambush strikes. It's part of why i was bugged by the difficulty. The fact i actually had to stand and wait for the civi with nothing to drop kick was out of place. Though i am hoping like with the first game the demo is just an easier version so people can see everything.

Though i have to agree, the R1 actions were way to freaking sensitive, for awhile i thought they had taken out the Pulse heal, bio leech, Electric lock options but i was only an inch off or something. Properly positioning Cole over the guy was slightly annoying.

I must be the only one but I really thought it was a pretty boring demo.
