Fox News

I'll pay it more heed when its covered by a REAL news outlet
You do know that Fox News is rated the most trusted news outsource in America. Its DOUBLE the news rating of MSNBC AND CNN COMBINE. Americans rate both MSNBC and CNN trust worthiness very low.

The reason you don't like Fox news is it doesn't follow the liberal point of views.
And Fox viewers have been shown to be the least informed audience in the country.

Avatar is an odd example considering it made $1,154,959,491 in profits, are you really trying to say you still can't afford to pay the camera man after that?

Viewers of FOX news consistently rank among the least-informed in the county, followed very closely by the very liberal NPR's audience. Both, statistically speaking, suck at journalism.

Whereas Stewart and Colbert's audiences are the most-informed in the country.

Proven, mind you, by extensive polling and testing.
Actually, no.

That's just the most recent one I heard of (I'm sure there have been more since that one), but pretty much every poll I've seen has about the same results: NPR listeners are MORE informed than FOX News viewers... by a large margin.

Basically, Wikipedia saved the internet. Reddit and Anon are endlessly patting themselves on the back for this like they did anything but circle-jerk, it was Wikipedia.
That's hyperbole. People knew about and were acting against SOPA and PIPA long before Wikipedia chimed in. Wikipedia just came in at the end (well, let's hope this is the end). If anything, it was Google with their main page link about SOPA and PIPA that brought the issue to the public at large... but that's just speculation. Personally, I Google to find Wikipedia pages, so if anyone else does the same, they'd've seen Google first... THEN Wikipedia.

Threatening with money. This is all it's about isn't it... money?
Some people might even go as far as to say its what everything is about.
And that is why some people instinctively feel capitalism is flawed - there should be more than that to life. A politician representing the people who voted for him is a nice change, though. If only the politicians in this country could work that out.

Mm. I am misinformed on the informedness of NPR listeners.

I'm going to stand fast on this point.

Every single major news outlet reported on Wikipedia going black and Wikipedia's blackout was the lead-in to every story about SOPA and PIPA that day.

It was the single most talked-about aspect of the opposition to SOPA and PIPA and by far the single most powerful statemnt. Google only carried information about the bills, whereas Wikipedia actually did something.

Had Google gone dark, I would agree with you, but they didn't.

It is my firm belief that Wikipedia saved the internet.

What are they going to do? Flood the market with more shit movies?

Revenge: Michael Bay now directs all movies.
Good grief, don't give them any ideas!

I'm super tempted to run an operation to flood their in-boxes with complaints about what greedy/corrupt bastards they are

I stand by my previous statements.

SOPA and PIPA supporters have to feel repeated, intense, crushing economic pain before they realize that the people don't want this mess of a bill they're trying to push through Congress. We, that is, the people and the consumers, must hurt them to make them open their eyes.
