Very true, ppl never stop going on about how the world will end. I say who should care, brooding over the inevitable or the unchangeable is a pathway to insanity so I try not to think about it.Limos said:I've telling people that ever since this whole 2012 nonsense started up. People have been proclaiming the end times since they invented language.

Ah, I see. It just sounded as if you were calling it a fad. Sorry.Gamer137 said:I don't mean a popular fad. I mean the spread of the idea that the world was ending.
Just about.Skalman said:No the only imaginable reason I can think of is World War III, with nukes.
And even then it would just be "the end of the world as we know it" Humanity would still survive, although there'd be a lot less of us.

The probability that the LHC is capable of destroying the world is similar to the chance of burning the whole thing down with match.zeldakong64 said:I'd never heard that Nibiru one. Either I've been living in a hole or it isn't very popular among right-headed people. Personally, I don't see how a magnetic pole reversal would wipe out all life on the planet but I'm no scientist.
One other theory I heard is that there is supposed to be a massive solar storm around 2011/2012 with the potential to fry all electronics on the planet. Basically, the earth has an invisible shield that fluctuates between weak and strong that protects the planet from solar flares, but our shield is at a weak stage and the flare-to-come is supposed to be one of the strongest recorded. I, personally, would welcome the universe hitting the ol' reset button because that's just what this planet needs ^_^
The LHC seems flat out inconsiderate if you ask me. If something has the potential of destroying the world, even if it is unlikely, then you probably shouldn't do it.
Election 2012 is so disorganized that it takes over a month of recounts in every state until-Hyper-space said:OH MY GOD!JRCB said:Yeah, the world isn't going to end. Wait a second, isn't Sarah Palin running for president in 2012?
