"I'll take Alex and Knox with me for an assault. Ethan, you go with Lucius as a distraction. Your team needs to be faster than mine to draw enough attention. I'm sure that Helen can provide us with a few grenades in case we need to cover our tracks."
"As much as I hate to say it... I'll be in a possition to drop anything chasing you guys out when you return."
"Ethan will be plenty useful for detracting the Deathclaws. The gunfire of us two should be enough to get their attention and hold it while you three make the assualt. The grenades would be very useful though. It would give us more firepower and also make much noise."

"That sounds like a good plan, when Helen comes out with knox we can fill the two in and let her decide what team she wants to run with. So, Lucius here's what I'm thinking, we run in whooping and hollering, and smash a bunch of eggs, then we grab some of them and run for one of those dry culverts and funnel them in. But before we do, we grab a mess of grenades and tie their pins together and stretch them across the ground, when the deathclaws run after us they'll blow themselves to hell. The question is which come after us. the parents or the pack?"

"Outside new vegas there is a quarry run by the NCR. A while back Powder Gangers stole all the miners dynomite and before a new shipmwnt came in Death Claws moved in. A pack about this size to be exact"

"They sent in a group of 5 highly armed Mercs and bounty hunters since troops were so thin. I was sent to follow them incase they toom the money and ran. I followed them to the quarry and observed them from a Tower in the Quarry. They took down quite a few eggs. Then the Mother came out..."

"She destroyed two with one swing. When they tried to run... The entire pack chased them. I was the only one that walked out alive. So to answer your question. Both."

"we'll still need a way to get the deathclaws split up. Or at the very least confused. why not come at them from different angles. both teams doing the same thing, only one stays behind. Or we can do the same thing but have backup waiting. Helen said that the deathclaws didn't like certain chems, well why don't we soak ourselves in them to get us close, then run like hell when we break the eggs, behind the explosives is a fighter team to take out the ones that didn't get taken down by the blast. If they'll all be following us, then all the better that we get them in one tight place where we can better take them out."

"Well there's not much point standing on these cliffs yammering on in the dark. we've given Knox and Helen a good hour, they should have finished by now, and if not, then we get a show and a fun story to tell over a couple beers."
As the group moved into the shack at their own pace and filled a rather flushed Knox and Helen in on the proposed plan the final work was nailed out.
Helen did indeed have several dozen frag grenades as well as a decent supply of mines that she was more than happy to loan to the team, after they gave their assurances that they were not there for the treasure and that they would help her kill deathclaws.
With the mines added to the equation Ethan jury-rigged a massive series of explosives, by essentially taping three grenades to a mine, when it one of those bad boys went off it would take out even a deathclaw.
Now that they had ordinance and intelligence the team worked on their final plan.
Ethan and Lucius would start by running out from a passageway into the valley that Helen had told them about, along the way they would drop several proximity mines slightly off from the path they would be running. so they could run past but the pack in pursuit would be spread out enough that a few of them would be taken out by the bombs. Ethan and Lucius would get as close as they could without being detected, aided by the deathclaw repellant chemicals provided, again, by Helen, and then break some eggs, grab one each and run like terrified rabbits back to the culvert.
While they were doing this Marcus, Knox and Alex would set up additional explosives inside the passage itself, these would be bundles of grenades that could be detonated by simply pulling a string attached to a pin, so Lucius and Ethan wouldn't inadvertently blow themselves up when they got in proximity. When Ethan and Lucius reached them then the entire team would be there to surprise any stragglers.
During all this Night Owl, who had excused himself earlier to hold up his part of the plan and Dead eye would be up the cliffs above in sniping positions, and pick off any deathclws that got in their cross-hairs.
Finally Helen would be off at the opposite end of the valley, approaching the nest at around the same time as Lucius and Ethan, once the deathclaws started to chase them, she would run behind and pick off stragglers with her LMG, and then stand behind the deathclaws attacking the team.
Hopefully this three-pronged attack would be enough to take out the Lead Deathclaws, as well as the rest of the pack.
With the plan hammered out, the team got some much needed sleep before the big mission tomorrow.
