OK PEOPLE IMPORTANT! Another Relic Entertainment poll, which lets people add their most anticipated game to the voting list. Someone added Homeworld 3, so, I'd appreciate your votes!

P.S. We did absolutely awesome on the previous poll and made the DOW franchise eat dust with almost 100 votes behind HW3! If we could do it then, we can do it now too! A big thanks to everyone for supporting the idea of Homeworld 3 being made, and let's keep those votes coming!

OKAY Relic are really picking this up! And they're pulling our noses? Or? There's a whole new poll about their new unannounced RTS in august, and the question is this:
"You may of heard that we're announcing a new RTS game in August. Help us out and pick what it should be, we need to start working on it pretty soon."
However all the answers are... a joke. Heh... so, what do you make of this?

I remember enjoying Homeworld 2 so much when I was a kid...

I loved Homeworld 1. It had a great story. Cataclysm had an adequate story. Homeworld 2 had a pretty bad story. But all the games were fantastic to play. I still play all of them from time to time.I have never loved a real time strategy game more than the Homeworld series.
That said, if they can't or wont make the game play as deep and fun as the original series I almost hope they don't make one at all.

Also, Cataclysm had an amazing story. Homeworld and Cat were 2 of the best games ever made.
The less said about H2 the better. Ugh.

Not surprisingly, it received a bunch of Likes and comments asking for Homeworld 3 to be made. Anyways, hmm... Relic keep bringing up Homeworld quite often lately ...

Just to be the cynic a facebook poll is not going to have much sway on if a HW3 game ever gets made.
I would guess HW3 being made would probably be based more along the success of Sins of a Solar Empire than a facebook poll
The fact that they reobtained the IP is a fairly clear indicator that they plan to do something with it so it is a fairly safe bet it is probably on the books, we already know that CoH2 and DoW3 are being made so it makes sense for something HW esque to be in the pipeline.
I hope they do a good job and keep the feel of the Homeworld games even if it isn't based around the Hiigarans this time around, as the atmosphere of the games was very unique at the time and honestly very few RTS since have captured it.
(also just for the record I dusted off and played through both HW and HW2 earlier in the year and they are still great to play)
