On a LAN party, we played one instagib Capture the Flag match in Unreal Tournament UT2k4 for about 8 hours straight. It must have been around 6 vs 6, with a cap limit of probably only five I think. Fortunately we had smoke and pizza breaks, because it was awesomely intense. One of the best and most memorable games I have ever played.

I'll occasionally do over 12 hours at a time on Oblivion or Fallout 3, though that generally involves turning the 360 off for 20 minutes or so while I'm cooking - I'm a bit paranoid about red ringing the damn thing and there's no need for it to be turned on while I'm not playing it.

It took me and my buddy 10 hours to beat Gears of War on Insane.

Also, I once spent 23 hours straight playing Maple Story. T-T

The longest is probably.. about 14 hours or something, playing WoW, trying to get to the same level my girlfriend was. However, I did that a few days in a row. Well, I did manage to beat her to lvl 80.

I also played a huge Rise Of Nations game against my brother which lasted from about 9:30PM till 5:30AM the following morning. That was pretty outrageous. We were just building bases all over the map and making humongous armies. We didn't even fight eachother, haha.

InstaGib in Quake 3 is insanely intense! If you stand still for longer than 0,5 seconds you're as good as dead. You're a sitting duck if you don't press W the entire time and jump around.

I played it in Q3, but I find it to be more demanding in Unreal Tournament (though I haven't played Q3 in high skill I have to say, it may be more difficult). It's not just a matter of pressing forward and hopping a bit, you have to be in total unison with your character and the game if you wish to have a chance of getting a shot at the higher skilled folk. Duels always have been very interesting, because you needed to keep innovating your strategy in order to surprise the enemy. If you keep doing the same, you would be certainly toast.

But yeah, instagib is the only way to go ^^

Oh on-topic: on another lan-party, somewhere in the suburbs of Dijon, France, I spent four days gaming on perhaps 12 hours of sleep total. Of course I had breaks for walking the dog, eating, showering, and rolling joints, but that's about it I think. It was awesome.

I'm going with 8-9 hours. Me and my brother had a Gears of War 2 play-through in the campaign. I felt sick after...but the next day me and my other brother did the same...
I usually just do 2 hours or less.

That's sick, well done ;D

Mine would have to be 18 hours, when I first purchased Oblivion ;d

Guess I'm a bit of a lightweight compared to some here - 12hrs or so is about as much as I have ever done in 1 sitting, did it on Maplestory, 9Dragons and most recently LOTRO.

I'VE PLAYED THROUGH FINAL FANTASY 7-9 WITH SOME OF MY FRIENDS IN ONE SETTING. WE DID THIS AS A 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF FINAL FANTASY 7. IT TOOK ABOUT 24 HOURS FOR FF7, 20 FOR FF8, AND 30 FOR FF9

I think something like 16 hours on Supreme Commander. I finished the UEF campaign on hard as slow and with as much "big huge hordes of billion things" as possible.
