i think i got 3-4 days.
i was playing little big planet with a friend.
we managed to get 94% of all the actual items and most of the trophies.
we litterally had no windows and we never really saw daylgiht.
the bastard had a fridge down there and we just ordered pizza and got our girlfriends to go grab us shit from the store when they came to see us.
and yes.
thats 3-4 days without sleep.
i literally lost track of time at the 65 hour mark.
im not usually like that but there was a snow storm and there was 3 of us in my friends basement (not like we could drive home)

Guild Wars is polite enough to tell you at every hour how many hours you are playing. Mind you, this particular time I was away from the interface for a large amount of the time, but the message I got was something along the lines of:

"You have been playing for 34 hours. Please take a break."

From 7 pm to 7 am on Resident Evil 5 is the most recent 10+ hour streak. My best was 40 hours straight out of Oblivion. I salute the posters above me for their tremendous stamina.

an unheathy 3 and a half days before finaly passing out and being rushed to the hospital, the docter himself told me im an idiot. that being said i didnt play games for a while, and a while being 5 minutes after i left the hospital >:3

Wow its not just me..

I probably racked up 72 hours straight, granted not straight, but because i only got like 2-3 hours of sleep over a period of 5 days, it felt like it. I have literaly played every Xbox 360 game that has come out, and beaten them(excludeing Dead Rising, RES4, and all the fighting games).

So this one week I was grinding it out right, I was playing Kameo and i started to feel very encoumbered, fatiuged, and a whole bunch of shit. Then the parinoia started, i thought that i was haveing dreams about my death, everytime i would go somewhere i would have this wierd daja-vu feeling, and it scared the shit outta me. I would get hot and cold flashes, i was starting to shake violently, and the world around me seemed slow. So finealy i went to a centra care walk in clinic and scared the crap outta some nursed who thought i was dieing(psh even i thought i was dieing), and then saw the doctor.

He was like "wow your the third case of this ive seen this week!". He basicly told me to not be a retard and do it again, said i had a lack of REM sleep(well, sleep for that matter), and to not play video games anymore for like a week. Told me to get alot of sleep, and il be fine.

Well it was very hard to get to sleep. The symtoms lasted for about 2 weeks after the visit, it was a living hell. I was only tired in the daytime, and i felt fine at night. Like the symtoms would completely dissapear at night. I ended up falling asleep at about 6-8 in the afternoon, and woke up anywhere from 4-6 in the morning.

Luckily, it went away completely after about 4 weeks, and im fine now. Ive learned that you should not play games for prolonuged periods of time, and that you should get a healthy amount of sleep, EVERY DAY!

Or else you might die out of exaustion, like i almost did. Not bad for 16 eh?

Mine's probably WoW right after I bought it. Played for probably 14-18 hours ( I wasn't really keeping track) and I probably would've played more had I not had work. That died out fast though, can barely stand to it for more than an hour now.

First time I got Half Life 2/Orange Box I played right through HL2, ep 1 and 2 and Portal without stopping, Think it took me a good 20 hours at which point I vowed never to play that long again as my eyes were about to burst...

Absolutely. Though 50 hours ain't too bad, done that for several school projects, too. But eating and drinking right helps, and you should give your body enough time and sleep afterwards to recover.

But sleep deprivation over days to weeks was used as a form of capital punishment in very old times. Of course they didn't have games like WoW back then.

hmmm, having to think about this one, lol well yesterday i did 8 hours straight on ff12 on my ps3, but that aint no record.... hmmm ive had some impressive 20+hour sessions on many a game, pokemon yellow &fire red, ff12,ff1o,ff8,ff9,ff10-2, erm i've also managed to play a fair few games straight through in one go, but i cant give an exact time cos, well ive never actually timed myself, hey i know... Im going on ff12 in a moment, 11:05am.... start counting

Called in sick Tuesday morning so I could get some damn sleep.

when i played DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 from 9am to 11pm. = 14 hours. on a fighting game. but a good 1 <.>

i did that too my gf was watching me the following morning from when i started, she say i was just staring at the screen and pressing buttons like a drone.

i did about 36 hours of pokemon emerald, that was made even more sad by the fact the game deleted itself 2 days later.

Summer '05. Resident Evil 4.

At various points, me and one of my friends would just play through it over and over, often all through the night.

I also beat Bioshock in one sitting, guess that was about 8 hours. Some day I plan to go through Wind Waker in one go... That should be around 15 hours if I'm just going for the bare minimum, but it's hard to tell since before Twilight Princess the Zelda games didn't keep track of how many hours you'd put into them.

My record is 26 hours, but I can't remember anything the next day, all I know is I had been up from 8am to 10 am playing a game with my mate. I got amnesia from a lack of sleep.
