Im not great at getting up early, I have 3 alarms go off and I hit snooze on all of them before dragging myself out of my cosy warm bed.
then I HAVE to have a coffee and shower to feel normal and not like an extra from the walking dead.
I swear nobody should have to get up before 8am!

so how about you guys? and what tips/methods do you use to help?

Terrible.

Mostly because I'm always sitting up late in bed reading so I seem to always get a couple less hours of sleep than I should.

Sometimes I manage to reach out and hit the snooze button with actually waking up properly. Then I wake up an hour later and realise I have all of fifteen minutes to get to work.

Crawling from the nice warm bed out into the cold cruel world is the main hurdle. Once I get to the shower, I'm fine.

I have absolutely no problem getting out of bed, I've never used snooze in my life. I want to stay in bed just as much as the next person but I've become conditioned to be up and on my feet before I even stop my alarm. Kind of hard to fall back asleep when you're vertical (unless you're narcoleptic, I guess).

I have no problem getting up and out of bed in the morning. Functioning to a decent level is another problem though, it takes a while and a few brews.

Assuming nothing has been screwing with my sleep schedule, I wake up by default at about 7AM, with or without an alarm clock. After which I'm fully functional by about fifteen minutes later.

Its the advantage of not becoming addicted to coffee, and using a little discipline instead.

Nothing since I am a light head sleeper in general (which I hate). Any slight of sound like the phone ringing (which happened today) or even an unusual sound wake me up in full alert mode.

I prefer to not wake up till 3pm. But when I absolutely have to get up in the morning I am essentially a zombie until 3pm-ish when I get a slight boost of energy to help me get through the day. I hate mornings.

With an alarm? Terrible.

Waking up naturally? Great.

I just tend to make sure I don't need the alarm. I like feeling good all day so I get plenty of rest.

i'm one of those "need 7-8 hours MAXIMUM" people, i generally get 5-6 hours most nights, so i'm generally up and going by 7 a.m.

also, my body has a really good internal clock, i wake up before my alarm goes off at least 3/7 days of the week by about a minute or so usually every time, so i wake up and tend to think "well, i was going to wake up in a minute or so anyways, lets get to it"

perhaps try using this:

My friend said he tried it and it worked for him (relatively) so perhaps that will help?

I'm awful at getting out of bed, usually. I stopped using alarms a couple years ago because I just ignored them constantly, so now I just sort of wait until I hit the point where I think 'yeah, I can't get away with sleeping any more, I actually need to get up and do things'. It's not the most effective way of getting up, to say the least. Although, to be fair, once I've decided I'm getting up I'm pretty good after that. I mean, once I've had a shower I'm about as awake as I'm going to get, with no need for tea or coffee to make me properly awake.

I'm awful in the morning. I have two alarms and I place one on the floor so I have to get up and get it or it won't shut up. Morning is also the only time when I don't want to eat anything, but of course it's important to eat in the morning so I have to force food down and I hate that. It's also always cold in the morning, even in the summer. I...bloody..hate..mornings.

I hate getting out of bed, I can sleep for England. I'm sure I have cat DNA in me somewhere. I always have an extra 10 minutes snooze and then its a struggleto get up and get going. Once I'm up however, I am usually ok. I'm not one of these people who need 17 cups of coffee, but I do generally feel much better once I've had a shower.

Baaahahahahaha.
I used to be good with this sort of stuff but nowadays I find it so hard to sleep so I'm generally in bed by like, 3-4 AM. Then my alarm's set for 10: every day so I can get a fair bit of sleep but the late nights are catching up to me so more and more I find myself just wanting to stay in bed. So glad I don't have a day job.

After my alarm goes off, I quickly do some calculations as to how much extra sleep I can squeeze in. This generally gets me to wake up enough so that I can function long enough to eat breakfast and drink a Monster. Generally I'm not fully awake, though, until I'm headed out the door to go to class.

If I've gotten at least 6-8 hours of sleep, an alarm will usually do. If it's less that, unless there's a test or something that I absolutely CANNOT oversleep, no amount of alarms will stop me from going back to sleep.

6:00am with an alarm. I have the alarm clock on the other side of my room so I have to get up to turn it off. Forces me to be up and awake right away.

My body is pretty used to getting up at that time now though so I usually wake up on my own about 5 minutes before my alarm goes off. This pisses me off though because I feel as though I've been cheated out of 5 minutes of sleep.
