or a film version of at the mountains of madness, the music of erich zann, the colour out of space, or any lovecraftian horror movie
A silent movie has been released in 2005 which is quite faithful to the original Lovecraft story.DethVanXan said:Wasn't there already a Call of Cthulhu movie? or somnething by HP Lovecraft? I remember it because they made the main character gay despite it having no point in the film.

There were adaptions of his books made into film. One I remember watching was Dagon (2001 released). I'm sure there are more out thereDethVanXan said:Wasn't there already a Call of Cthulhu movie? or somnething by HP Lovecraft? It's an interesting movie to see, considering the staggering amount of explosions in movies these days.
That movie was based on Lovecraft's 'Shadow over Innsmouth' story, there's little relation to Cthulhu there; though Dagon and Cthulhu share the same mythos.Byere said:There were adaptions of his books made into film. I believe Guillermo Del Toro is interested in making a movie based off 'At The Mountains of Madness'. Having looked at his previous creature designs, he might be the best director to make the madness real..krader2012 said:or a film version of at the mountains of madness, the music of erich zann, the colour out of space, or any lovecraftian horror movie
He might pick it up after 'The Hobbit', so we have to be patient for a couple of more years..NLS said:I'd like to see Guillermo del Toro directing it![]()
Musicals? What the... Happy singing flowerpeople and Chuthulu in one go? That would just be beyond madness...Sanquinius96 said:He might pick it up after 'The Hobbit', so we have to be patient for a couple of more years..NLS said:I'd like to see Guillermo del Toro directing it![]()
To pass the time, we'll have to make do with B-movie adaptions, musicals and silent movies.
