I'm gay, yet I live like a slob and am horribly antisocial. I do have a soft spot for dramatic musical numbers though.

I'm Australian, and have yet to wrestle a saltwater crocodile, and I don't like beer. My cousin owns a snake, though.

I'm a PC gamer (by necessity, not by choice), and I am most certainly not a member of any master race.

I'm Indian. Let's just say that I'm not that awkward around people. Also, I end up explaining most of the class to my friends as they cannot teach themselves for shit. I'm also meh with my grades, which is fine by me.

I'm a scientist/computer guy and probably come across as the most unhelpful person ever to anyone who isn't exactly computer-savvy or scientifically literate. It's not like I do it unconsciously, it's just really easy to slip into using jargon when you use it for most of the week.
That's never happened to me. What people tell me instead is that I should be the one teaching instead of whoever's up there. I like to differ and say that they were hired for a reason. :-D

Computer scientist - I spent a large amount of the last three days (OK, my computer did, I just made it) doing large amounts of data processing using all sorts of tools on Linux to do a task that was both trivial (albeit time consuming) and not essential in any sense. In other words, I spent a lot of time dicking around with geeky tools[footnote]curl, sed, awk, parallel, a whole variety of command piping, most of this cobbled together in very crude scripts that still do what they need, albeit they may not be the prettiest of things[/footnote] mostly for my own amusement.
Yep, that's me. Who needs a social life when you're surrounded by some of the most interesting technology yet? :p

I'm a white male in the bible belt.

I'm not a gun nut
I'm not racist
I'm not religious - rather, a passive atheist
I'm not conservative - liberal progressive slant actually
I am missing some of my teeth - but you'd never know by seeing me.
My car actually runs, and is not sitting on my lawn on cinder blocks
I know nothing about cars beyond how to drive and fuel them.
I do have several large dogs and a few cats
Deer meat is the best meat

So, 3/10 for my stereotype.

As an Australian university student who doesn't drink alcohol or do any for of drug I'd like to think I'm as far away from the stereotype as possible.
but do you like a "barbie" ?
:p
I enjoy food that is barbequed but I do not enjoy the experience of cooking it or the social nature of a barbeque.
Get the fuck out mate.

21 year old Australian male. I don't go out partying, drinking, fucking, hooning[footnote]Driving your car as if you were running from Death himself, doing burnouts, racing, etc.[/footnote] or anything if the sort. Pretty far from the stereotype you see of young Australian males here. I do enjoy a good barbie with a beer now and again though. Hmm, that reminds me. Got to give my kangaroo a tune up.

Geek stereotype: This one is pretty accurate in a lot of regards. I spend lots of time playing video games and on the internet; my room is covered in "geeky" posters (Star Wars, Mass Effect, Legend of Zelda, The Avengers, etc.); I currently have a Mass Effect calender on my wall (Star Wars one last year.); there's quite a bit of Nintendo and Star Wars merchandise I use for decoration as well; most of the television I watch are animated shows (cartoons, anime); I tend to look up a lot of background information on my favorite series; it's really difficult for me to make new friends on my own. However, I break it in the fact that I have a pretty good social life, as well as a good looking girlfriend who I have been with for 4 years.

Mississippian (Southern) stereotype: This one does not really describe me very well. I'm not racist; I don't have a country accent, or sound like a redneck; I don't like NASCAR; I don't like beer, or alcohol in general; I don't like sweet tea; I don't like grits; I'm not obsessed with the New Orleans Saints, or football, or sports in general; I don't hate Democrats, Obama, liberals, or socialist programs in general (I'm a moderate); I don't hunt deer; I'm out of shape, but not overweight; I'm not obsessed with guns; I'm not crazy about Mardis Gras; I'll hold the door open for anyone, not just women; However, I am a Christian, I love the food here (Po-boys, crawfish, muffalettas, jumbalaya) and I'm a fan of bluegrass, jazz, and blues music.

Men stereotype: Well, I can't cook, but I do clean up after myself and do my laundry, well, eventually.

White stereotype: I can't dance. Nope, cannot do it.

as a non practicing new yorker jew, not very much if you're comparing me to woody allen but if just by the new yorker part you got me for everything but my walking speed which is only slightly faster than casual walkers that i've seen outta the city but people who live here they are usually faster.

now to go get an egg cream with some rye toast with pastrami to suit my breakfast of bagels with cream cheese and a cheap .75 cent coffee in a greek stylized cup. man, remember when those were .50 cents.

They're really not. They're an easy way to classify things or people. As yes, we also 'stereotype' things. We just don't call it that way when we do. Though the way stereotypes are often used is silly. I mean, the first time I was ever stereotyped someone called me a 'gothic hippy'. I had no idea what that even was, and could only think 'The fuck are you talking about?' These days though if people say I'm a Goth or Metalhead I just say 'kind of'. As it's 'kind of' true. (long hair, black clothes and a fan of metal are true at least.)
I disagree. Labels are useful to assign things to the same group, say for example, death metal and black metal. It can be used to assign people of a political nature together, people who share and support the same political goals. But things such as "I'm a metalhead" or "I'm a punk" and etc, I just find stupid. I see no point in assigning those kinds of labels and limitations to yourself, and following the rules of those labels. Just seems silly and unnecessary. You do not need to be under a certain label or subculture in order to associate and communicate with people who share your interests.

I'm a white fairly religious Christian. I'm pro gay marriage, probably slightly left-wing, studying to be a scientist, and my favourite type of music is hip-hop. So, probably not very stereotypical, I suppose. I'm also Australian, and I do love meat pies and iced coffee, and barbecues are pretty great too. However, I can't surf, I got my first pair of thongs only last year, and I can't stand beer. So, take that one as you will.

I go pretty hard against most of the stereotypes that would apply.

White, from American south, but I lived in Iran for almost a year, as well as Costa Rica and Indonesia, live in a constant flux of poverty, know a lot about guns but don't own one, etc. I do like south culture in terms of music and "Fashion" though.

The ones I do fall into hit hard though. I'm Bisexual and promiscuous as hell. I feel bad for being exactly what people expect. Although I suppose I am loyal if I do commit. Also I'm the picture perfect "starving author with a troubled path." Just absolutely everything checks off. Loner, Writing all the time, poor as hell, shit parents, the list goes on.

Well I'm Canadian and I do say "eh" a bit. But otherwise I don't care for hockey or beer. I do like Maple Syrup though.
To be honest, anyone who doesn't enjoy maple syrup at least on occasion has screws loose. :p

I'm also Canadian, and I do enjoy beer, I do watch hockey some, not obsessive, but some years I'll follow a team for shits and giggles, and the word eh is a rather common part of my verbal dialogue, and I'm a pretty friendly dude, so yeah, I guess I fit into at least some of the Canadian stereotype...

Oh boy. As a Canadian I...

Drink loads of beer, enjoy maple syrup a lot, I watch and play hockey as much as I can, I'm often non-partisan and try to avoid confrontation, when I do get in a fight my first reflex is to pull the guy's shirt over his head and punch him in the stomach, I'm tidy, I have a smug self-righteous attitude vis-a-vis Americans (I'm just kidding don't get mad), I use tire chains, I've axed down several trees in my lifetime, I say "eh", I've eaten caribou and beaver, I've lost a tooth in a hockey fight, I've made swish and I'm known to barbecue outside in my shorts but with a warm hat in January.

Jewish, Russian, and Canadian. Let's see:

-I like money
-I have a decent sized nose
-Curly hair
-Not very religious (have never participated in any Bar Mitzvas, Torah readings, etc.)
-I like subways (Moscow)
-Not at drinking age... yet
-No accent
-I'm fairly friendly
-Haven't said "eh" for a full week
-Don't play hockey
-Don't like the cold

So basically, I fit a third of each.

Well I'm British, so let's check:
-There are two empty mugs of tea next to me.
-My teeth are a little wonky, but otherwise healthy.
-I burn easily.
-I get embarrassed when I have to move through people on the train, muttering "Sorry...Excuse me" over and over again.
-I can be a bit sarcastic I suppose.
-I don't have disdain for all foreigners, so that's a nope.
-I like to complain about life's small unfairnesses, like how there's always that bit of Nutella you can't get out of the jar and there's always that one dirty spoon you don't see 'till you've thrown the water out.

Not too bad, I suppose.

Since I live in Florida, there are no stereotypes that apply... We're not rednecks (only partly) even though we're the South and the 2nd state to secede from the union. Disney does not own us, just a small section of Central FL in and around Orlando. Not everywhere is close to a beach, nor is it sunny all day so not all of us have tans. Our LGBT population is average in most of the state, with a few exceptions in South Beach and Key West.
Also, when someone says they are from the Florida Keys, that doesn't always mean Key West. There are 100 miles of islands prior to Key West which is the furthest South you can drive in Florida (80 miles from Cuba). And most of the residents aren't gay. Also we don't all fish.
So what stereotypes that I mentioned do I fit in? None really.
Oh maybe one I didn't mention: Most of us hate tourists... as I do even if they bring us money. Come here, spend it and get the fuck out.
Also I don't think Florida quite fits in with the rest of the USA, we're way too diverse to be "typical Americans".
I do fit in with the white and nerdy stereotype in a few ways... I know more about Star Wars than I probably should, Star Trek as well. I play D&D, own multiple styles of dice, played WH40K, spent many paychecks on Magic, own every current gen console (except WiiU), 2 PCs, one notebook, two different tablets (non-apple), two iPod touches, used to work in computers (building, tech support, networking, etc), collect comics, knowledge of the Marvel continuity is staggering, library is dominated by SciFi and fantasy. I can go on... hell my room has maps hanging up of various RPG continents and posters from video games.

But I dislike Doctor Who... sue me, I just can't sit through it.

I don't live in my parents' basement: I have an apartment. I do chug Mt. Dew like there's no tomorrow. I'm capable of tanning so I'm not snow white. I don't mouth breathe but I do generally breath shallowly and usually only through one nostril while the other is usually stuffed since I'm apparently allergic to air. I suppose some acne is justified too. I'm not terribly fat, just a bit chubby in the usually areas.

So I guess I'm halvsies on the videogamer stereotype.

Edit: forgot myopia, introversion, I'm too uncoordinated for sports and that I never really got into comics.
