Geek stereotype: This one is pretty accurate in a lot of regards. I spend lots of time playing video games and on the internet; my room is covered in "geeky" posters (Star Wars, Mass Effect, Legend of Zelda, The Avengers, etc.); I currently have a Mass Effect calender on my wall (Star Wars one last year.); there's quite a bit of Nintendo and Star Wars merchandise I use for decoration as well; most of the television I watch are animated shows (cartoons, anime); I tend to look up a lot of background information on my favorite series; it's really difficult for me to make new friends on my own. However, I break it in the fact that I have a pretty good social life, as well as a good looking girlfriend who I have been with for 4 years.
Mississippian (Southern) stereotype: This one does not really describe me very well. I'm not racist; I don't have a country accent, or sound like a redneck; I don't like NASCAR; I don't like beer, or alcohol in general; I don't like sweet tea; I don't like grits; I'm not obsessed with the New Orleans Saints, or football, or sports in general; I don't hate Democrats, Obama, liberals, or socialist programs in general (I'm a moderate); I don't hunt deer; I'm out of shape, but not overweight; I'm not obsessed with guns; I'm not crazy about Mardis Gras; I'll hold the door open for anyone, not just women; However, I am a Christian, I love the food here (Po-boys, crawfish, muffalettas, jumbalaya) and I'm a fan of bluegrass, jazz, and blues music.
Men stereotype: Well, I can't cook, but I do clean up after myself and do my laundry, well, eventually.
White stereotype: I can't dance. Nope, cannot do it.
