I have a tendancy to binge drink when I do drink so I suppose that's pretty stereotypical of an Irish person.

I'm British. I have a cup of tea in my hand as we speak. I arrogantly treat the Britsh spelling/pronunciation as the 'right one'. I avoid eye contact on public transport and apologise if my shadow bumps into someone.
I even have wonky (though perfectly healthy) teeth.
So obviously I think the stereotype is offensive and completely off the mark.

I'm a scientist/computer guy and probably come across as the most unhelpful person ever to anyone who isn't exactly computer-savvy or scientifically literate. It's not like I do it unconsciously, it's just really easy to slip into using jargon when you use it for most of the week.
I am a geek, and you could probably tell.

I'm a 6'4, 230 pound American of Irish descent. I guess you could say I'm part-geek, part-jock. I'm a gamer and I like comics, but at the same time I'm a powerlifter who does trains in MMA. Don't really drink enough for my Irishness, but on the occassions I do, I get messed up.
While I ain't a loud mouth like my parent/ past generation but I still lived up to the whole hard working asian and my love/ glutton toward food Chinese sterotype.
Chinese... good mathematician and wear glasses... yeah... that's about it, because I don't speak or act or dress or pretty much anything else like the typical geek HK Chinese guy. *shrug*
Not even slightly. Out of all possible labels I can be given (gamer, geek, guitarist) I only really match one of them.

I've never been in a band, I know on guitar practically no popular songs in any genre, I don't take drugs and I rarely even drink. Whilst my hair is longer than average it's well kept, and I'm pretty hygienic. At this point the guitarist stereotype is pretty far from me.
As for the geek part, I'm studying chemistry at uni, I have very few friends and (as I've said) very rarely drink, often preferring to stay inside and watch anime. This is probably the closest I come to a stereotype.

I'm supposed to be a Goth. Though I don't think I fully fit into that stereotype. You'd also have to mix in several other stereotypes to get a more 'accurate' picture.
As for the 'Dutch' stereotype...I guess I fit into that partially. I do smoke weed freely and openly. (though not too often) I've never been to a prostitute though. I don't like tulips, I do love cheese, and I've only once worn clogs. (which are horrible to wear btw.)

Well, I have long hair, wear black band shirts and camo pants and often times work boots. So visually I fit the bill, I suppose. I don't hold elitist attitudes though, hell I fucking listen to gangsta rap, so that part of the stereotype doesn't fit. I also don't drink (much, though I plan on changing this, hehe) or do drugs. I do headbang like an idiot, though.

Computer scientist - I spent a large amount of the last three days (OK, my computer did, I just made it) doing large amounts of data processing using all sorts of tools on Linux to do a task that was both trivial (albeit time consuming) and not essential in any sense. In other words, I spent a lot of time dicking around with geeky tools[footnote]curl, sed, awk, parallel, a whole variety of command piping, most of this cobbled together in very crude scripts that still do what they need, albeit they may not be the prettiest of things[/footnote] mostly for my own amusement.

As far as I'm aware I don't fit into a lot of stereotypes, so I would say not even close.

I'm filipino. I tend to point at things using my lips or chin. I always save plastic bags for trash or whatnot but I normally have more bags than trash anyway. I tan well and love tropical weather. I tend to enjoy foods that are either salted or vinegar-ed . I'm more well-endowed than the stereotypical mainland Asian.

Having a Portuguese background, I'm pretty far from my stereotype. I don't care for watching soccer or bullfights. Playing soccer is fun, but I never got into it besides having a few casual games of "let's pass the soccer ball back and forth between the 3 of us." I've noticed a lot of Portuguese guys in the Azores are either young and have pretty much 0% body fat, or they're old and really fat. I'm 22, somewhat lean and muscular, but by no means do I have a washboard where my stomach should be.
And I train pretty much religiously in mixed martial arts, and do a lot of cardio. I'm seen as one of those "straight-edge kung fu guys" by most people I went to college with. I don't smoke, drink extremely rarely (I'd say less than 5 drinks a year), and for the most part avoid junk food unless I've done a lot of cardio and am in need of the extra calories.

They're really not. They're an easy way to classify things or people. As yes, we also 'stereotype' things. We just don't call it that way when we do. Though the way stereotypes are often used is silly. I mean, the first time I was ever stereotyped someone called me a 'gothic hippy'. I had no idea what that even was, and could only think 'The fuck are you talking about?' These days though if people say I'm a Goth or Metalhead I just say 'kind of'. As it's 'kind of' true.
