I enjoy food that is barbequed but I do not enjoy the experience of cooking it or the social nature of a barbeque.

As a Canadian, I do say "eh" a decent amount and I love maple syrup. But no, I don't live in an igloo or own a pet moose.

I'm Pennsylvania Dutch and I eat shoo-fly pie whenver it is available (in Texas, that means whenever I make it myself.) Other than that I'm obviously not Amish, though I love a good Mennonite buffet and I have the magical ability to understand everything on this one dude's audio blog in Pennsylvania Dutch despite never having studied it for more than one class in elementary school. Oh, and I pronounce Mario like "marry oh".

I think that's the only stereotype I even come close to.

I have taken a few downright stupid Irish sterotypes from some random person on Yahoo answers so lets see if I match any.

We all have ginger hair - Nope Brown.
We have pale skin and lots of freckles- Yeah definately
We're very culchie - Not really no I grew up in a city
We're talkative - Yeah I talk an unholy ammount of shite
We're all drunks - It's not true of me, but it's pretty accurate on the whole
We're a lucky nation - Yeah the Famine.... That was lucky
We get into fights a lot - Well yes and no, I do like hitting people, but in a nice way.
We eat a lot of potatoes - Yeah that's true to be honest, I do like my spuds.
We hate the English - You get dome ignorant people like that but no. Two of my best friends is a Londoner. That said I do enjoy slagging them about it
We're all devout catholics - Up until about ten years ago, yes. I do fit the stereotype however. I go to mass every Sunday
We're friendly - Quite a nice stereotype. I'm fairly friendly I suppose.
We're all called Paddy/Mary - Nah I'm called Michael which isn't much better. I do know a good dozen Paddys,Patricks and Padraigs though
We're all farmers - No I suppose Dad is from that background though, and my Mums father used to nick cows up North.
We say stuff like Top of the mornin' to ya/Begorrah - I have no idea where top of the mornin' came from. The first I heard of it was from a movie and no one I know has ever said that. We do have some strange slang as with any country though, which I am guilty of.

I'm a friendly IT dude who goes to clubs, drinks a lot, works out and has a tall blonde girlfriend. I also dress up as a stormtrooper. I probably don't get that close to many stereotypes.

i really don't think so. i don't fit any human types i can think of, nor any zombie types, nor any AI types. i'm basically a mix of these things. unless there's some niche for us i'm not aware of, or there are even enough of us to be able to accurately employ the use of us rather than me, then i can't think of any stereotype in particular i'm similar to.

This might be Irish but isn't there also a wife-beating stereotype?

I'm german and I really like eisbein with sauerkraut. In fact Sauerkraut is perhaps my favourite side dish. I also love beer. That's something, I guess.

I'm a scientist/computer guy and probably come across as the most unhelpful person ever to anyone who isn't exactly computer-savvy or scientifically literate. It's not like I do it unconsciously, it's just really easy to slip into using jargon when you use it for most of the week.
I know that feel. I'm biochemicist/geneticist and regulary lose people who just casually ask me what I'm currently doing in the atempt of starting small talk. I have the problem, that I also go too much into detail.

I'm Canadian.

I don't say 'eh' and I'm not a particular fan of hockey.

Are there other real Canadian stereotypes that someone from a different country would believe? I have no idea. Please tell me all of your Canadian prejudices so that I can be judged.

As a bit of a geek...

I'm pretty up there. I use the computer a lot, know the names of all of the pokemon in every generation, and I seriously need to shave. So... yeah. I'm at least only half an offensive stereotype. Not bad.

Well I'm Canadian and I do say "eh" a bit. But otherwise I don't care for hockey or beer. I do like Maple Syrup though.

I'm a white guy from the American South. Let's see:
I'm not racist.
I hate Nascar.
Cheap beer is completely unappealing to me. I'd much rather have some good imports from Germany or Belgium.
I'm a registered Democrat, and I'm actually closer to the Green and Socialist parties than I am to either of the major two.
I don't speak with a Southern accent. Instead, I have an Upper Midwest/Canadian accent with a little New England thrown in.
I don't own any guns nor am I gun crazy.
I rarely eat any traditionally Southern foods.
I hate Cracker Barrel.
I'm hardly a "Fighting Fundie".
I'm very intelligent.
Finally, I'm hardly a nationalist.

Yeah, I'd say I don't fit the stereotype at all. The closest I come is in my religious beliefs, but even those would be considered blasphemous by anyone fitting the stereotype. However, I do tend to fit in with the whole nerd/gamer stereotype, and I've had people label me a gamer just by my looks, even when I'm not wearing anything gamer related. I also hardly fit the metalhead stereotype of being a loud, obnoxious, long-haird, Satan-worshipping delinquent.

As a Brit, I love to complain, and apologise at every slight need, I'm very stoic, and I know the proper etiquette of queueing, so pretty damn close.

As a 'Youth' I don't spend everyday out drinking, and I don't go everywhere with a hood up, but maybe that's a regional stereotype. Either way, not even close.

As a geek/nerd. Pretty close, I guess.

Nerd:
- I live in the basement (renting, though no my parents)
- I have glasses
- I don't care about what is in fashion
- I hate manual labour
- I'm opposed to high impact activities (sports, running, etc)
- I love D&D, Magic the Gathering, Console and PC Gaming
- I'm into superhero's and medieval fantasy
- I'm single and have been for 98% of my life
- I'm completely non-violent and passive
- I'm shy
- I love to min-max
- I'm not outgoing and am very uncomfortable in crowds
- I'm extremely independent and prefer my time be spent alone than with others

All told I pretty much meet the stereotype dead on.

I'm an Actor, and Drama Student.
I'm bisexual, extroverted, my clothes come off at parties pretty quickly, and I'm rather sexually active.
I guess I qualify for the stereotype.
