For me I took the gun and just blasted everyone that got in my way (After saying it was for emergency's only of course), I tried not to kill that asshole overseer but I couldn't resist it, And I killed all the guards that attacked me. The fact that they had names made me feel like an asshole but after the 2 guards gunned down those 2 civilians/students I decided that all guards were evil. Surprisingly I left the vault as a vault guardian with good karma ^^.

Now if i just could make the game not crash every 5th to 20th minute. Anyone got a fix on that issue?

I shot everyone than shot the overseers daughter in the face "before she tried to stop me". I feel like playing a game as a complete and utter bastard for once so I will.

What kind of crash are you getting?

What hardware/OS are you running?
Vista premium, Nvidia 8600GT. I can basically run it flawlessly but I have random crashes. I have all the latest drivers and stuff, DirectX and live. I even removed that video codec but it didn't help.

During the first chapter (vault chapter) It didn't crash even once, Now when I'm outside it crashes all the time. Especially when I exit megaton.
The funny thing is that it loads it up and I can se the screen (perfectly normal) for a second, and even move but in a second it crashes. Other times it just flat out randomly crashes.

Oh yeah, the screen windows and goes black, Then that windows box comes up and searches for the crash reason or whatever it "supposedly" does.

my first instinct in a game like this, is to shoot anyone that pisses me off. but i made a character that was supposed to be well-mannered and intelligent. so i have to resist killing someone that isn't attacking me first. however, i will often save the game..go on a killing spree so i get it out of my system. and reload the game before i did all that to maintain my reputation.

There are quite a few crashes in Oblivion Fallout 3, even with high end systems. A lot of the crashes resort to pirated versions, unsupported graphic cards, old drivers and the fact that the game was not bug-cleaned 100%.

let me see i can't realy remember, there was gun fire, dead bodys, and I was in a killing frenzy with blinding rage and furry, and when i did make it out i was marked as evil. So im guessing i let lose. Usualy in game like fallout and oblivion where your actions determins what kind of character others will see you I try to be good but every time i "go in to sumones house" (break in) and "borrow some items to get by in the game" (steal) i always seem to get a bad character no matter how little i "borrow". so i say fuck, it this time im gonna be the biggest ass hole in this game as much as i can har har har.and i must say im damn good at it.

You might be able to find a fix.
Thanks, I'll have a look.

A Fallout game that's not bug cleaned? you don't say? Isn't the fallout series the King of gamebreaking bugs?

Take it back to the store you bought it at and get a new one? That would fix it right up. :p
I'm very sure that this isn't disk related, I installed without problems and I've heard that others are experiencing the same thing, Game error maybe?

Well, at least the game is less buggy on release than the 2nd Fallout. I just stabbed a guy with a knife in the elementary school and as soon as his body hit the ground, my game minimized. Not sure why but I just maximized the game and it was fine. Most of the bugs seem to be from after leaving the vault, at the start when choosing your gender or later on when you go see the bomb man.

As once before, I am going to have to shake my fist angrily at game developers.

My first time, I had an out of the box experience with my buddy (basically, where we sit down with a brand new game and play it together for a couple hours, and share some laughs)

he apparently had the hots for Amata, so whenever I suggested we did something bad, he'd say "no, be nice to her"

Well, we were escaping, killing everything with a bat, and get to her dad.. we clobber him inadvertently, and then she gets all pissed at us.

My friend was crestfallen.

edit: "Out of the box experience with my buddy" sounds so gay, but I'll keep it in there for lulz.

I used a large drill and tunnelled my way out through the rock.
Then I heard a loud, gruff and very sexy voice say
"How dare you? I created an official tunnel for you to use, and yet you still keep making your own. Why? Why do you do this to me? *sobs*"

I've been playing this game on the 360, I'm about 12 hours in, and have had absolutely no glitches, crashes, or anything of the sort. It appears PC got the shaft.
