How did you find out about the escapist ?

On ign, I got into a discussion about some game. I beleive it was far cry 2. I asked is any dlc was coming out for it and someone posted a news story from here about it. I LOVED the interface. The video;s and forum topics are all displayed on the same page, perfectly. I decided to make it my new home on the internet.
They showed Zero Punctuation on G4, I checked the site out, lurked for quite some time, and then finally made an account.
A friend of mine showed me zero punctuation (Oh those were back in the early days) after I'd shown him some funny reviews from another British critic called TheDevilsJoker (Look him up) on youtube. The way I found out about him was when I was looking up a summary of halo on youtube. The reason I was looking that up was because I was writing spoof back then and I wanted to do a song summarising halo to the tune of American pie. How did I find out about american pie (I'd heard the song many times before but just didn't know its name) I was waaaaay into wierd Al back then and one of his songs the saga begins spoofed American Pie from a star wars angle. How did I become a fan of wierd al, I had seen a video of Fat on a tele. How was I watching that, my grandma was celebrating her birthday at this restaurant and they had a tv on the wall which at the time was playing the video. So it's either at this point I stop and thank my grandmother or I go back even further to world war 2 because the restaurant was a Returned servicemens league club in their area. How did ww2 start the Germans invaded Poland. Why did they invade because mean old Hitler didn't like them (My grandfather's Polish and was in Poland at the time, for years he worked slave-like conditions on a forced labour farm under Nazi rule until American soldiers came and rescued them all which is why among other things I love Americans and hate Nazis). I guess I could go back even further but I don't know what sparked Hitlers hate, even if i did I still don't know his complete ancestry.
Like probably tons of people here, I came because of Zero Punctuation. Eventually I started reading some of the articles, and not long after that I started lurking in the forums. It was actually quite a long time before I made an account and started posting, and even longer before I started posting regularly. And that's where I'm at now.

Just recently started on the forums.
I also got into Unskippable, and I've read a few articles.
I was introduced to Yahtzee after his first two videos [before the escapist came along] by a friend of mine, who was shown by his South African friend. When I saw video 3 [His video announcing that he was now in the escapist] I started coming here and watched them instead of on youtube. I never even realized there was a forum [I used to come just for Yahtzee.] until last year, so that's when I made an account.
