I came across the Escapist while looking for a Zero Punctuation video. I didn't create an account until much later though when I felt like commenting on a thread about vehicles in games.

I was in a Swedish forum where they made a thread comparing AVGN with Zero Punctuation. I didn't know who it was, so I checked it out. I started looking at the forums after a while. At last I decided to write some stuff. The first post was about my ex I think.

I was afraid of coming to a non-swedish forum, only being able to write in English and so forth, but it really hasn't been a problem. I would say that my English is kinda good. At least it's good enough to be understood by others ^^

Zero Punctuation, stuck around because the last forum I tried to join was GameFaqs, seeing how my 1 thread ever made exploded into a flame war and it was "What games for PSP would you recommend" this being when PSP just came out in japan, it instantly turned into a PSP vs DS flamewar.

I hate gamefaqs forums big time.

I followed Yahtzee on his big boat made of money when the Escapist decided to pay him to sit in his house being opinionated. Yeah, I've been watching that long. =_=

I registered an account because I read something so incredibly stupid on the forums that I had to jump in and have a shitfit because I love drama.

A friend introduced me to the Yahtzee videos, and I was hooked. Started lurking around the forum, and felt provoked by a comment one day and decided to retort. Probably the same as around 90% of all the other escapists here I guess.

to tell you the truth i was looking for some weapon/item stats on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. on Google that then supplied a link to a video (zero punctuation review of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) so i watched it, thoroughly LMAO and then faved the web site for the zero punctuation videos. later i started noticing all the funny and cool threads so i decided to make a account to contribute what i could.

Like everyone else, I came for ZP. Lurked for a couple of years and finally ran across a post filled with such ignorant babble I had to create an account. So yeah... I came in through the basement XD

Pretty much this. Can't remember which ZP I first found, though.

My cousin told me about this hilarious dude named yahtzee that did game reviews (super critical ones). So I checked him out and was hooked. Then upon seeing the discussion topics in the forum I was intrigued by how mature the community is here (for the most part).

Oddly enough, I first came here because of Movie Bob. I absolutly loved his Game Overthinker series, and in some of his episodes he advertised movie reviews he did for the escapist. He also referenced ZP in one episode, which led me to discover the rest of the site's content.

I only got an account recently, when I saw a thread about sf books I just had to comment on.
