Probably Sonic 3 & Knuckles. While I've kinda played some things before that, Sonic 3 and Knuckles is what made me a gamer.

first time was crash bandicoot(the original). went round a friends house, he switched the playstation on and we played for 3 hours straight. just beautiful. After that it was Spyro (the original) then half life. The best so far has to be Dark Chronicle by a long shot.

Well I sat on an Atari joystick and it was gone.

Seriously though, the first game I played was some tank game on the Atari but I first started playing them regularly after my first play of resident evil: directors cut.

The original Doom. I never got big into console gaming, I thought the Nintendo games were daft. A mistake a 12-year-old kid will easily make.

The first game I ever played was TMNT on the NES at the babysitter's house. Then eventually I received a Genesis with Sonic the Hedgehog for christmas.

Warcraft 2 when I was 5 or 6, my brother was a backseat gamer trying to get me into the RTS kinda stuff so he had someone to beat on starcraft.

While I have never had sex with a video game or video game system (you kids take video gaming much more seriously than I ever did if you're having relationships with your Wii!) I played my first video game when I was 4. It was called "Tactical Starship Simulation" for the IBM. Great game.

I played my first proper games when I got my first own computer, at the age of 7

My first games were Command & conquer; red alert 1 and Age of Empires 1.
And thus began a long voyage into the world of real time strategy.

Street Fighter 2 for the Genesis popped me at the ripe age of three. I could barely hold the controller and I had to use the big one with the three buttons rather than the six because my brother wanted the nice one (he was 16 at the time and wanted someone to play with). He kicked the living hell out of me nonstop, then let me practice against the computer. Few days later I started winning occasionally, after that I beat him constantly.

About a decade passes, I dust off the Genesis when my brother comes in after Thanksgiving and we boot it up for old time's sake.

He was taking it easy on me that whole time when I was younger.
