The original Prince of Persia on a very, VERY old computer. Impossible to complete as a toddler, but those were the days.

When I was 3 or so. Sonic. O yeah, we go way back. Back when Sonic didn't explode in 3D (I actually never had a real problem with 3D Sonic but there were huge flaws).

I lost mine on the Oregon Trail. Those were hard times, and most of my family died of various diseases.

Playing Atari 2600 in my grandma's basement when I was four. Freeway and Space Invaders!

Then the 'rents bought me an NES when I was 5 and I was hooked on Mario.

But I knew I'd be a gamer the rest of my damned days when I played Wolfenstein 3D and Doom at my uncle's house during a Christmas party when I was 8.

It was either Super Mario Bros. or Rampage, both on the NES, the only Nintendo console that I've played on. I was about 4.

The very first time i saw a video game was when my uncle showed me a gold digger game on an Atari in nineteen-eighty-something. It took several minutes to load from a datasette, and wasn't more than a few pixels on a black screen which represented the gems you could dig for (unless you hit on a grave and a ghost came to hunt you down). I was too young to understand the game enough to play it myself though. The first game i played myself was Tetris on a friend's gameboy a few years later.

My very first game at 5 years old: Wolfenstein 3-D on my old Macintosh.
Nothing like starting a gamer with killing Nazis and Hitler.

The first video games I watched my dad play were Half-Life and Riven, but the first game I ever played was a hideous educational thing called "Blasternauts" or something like that (I still get the theme song stuck in my head sometimes, and it makes me want to die). The first actually entertaining game I played was, I believe, Age of Empires I.

Doom, somehow the pixelated screen enthralled me. I always used to jump at the chance to play when my brothers got bored even if I was terrible.

The very first game I played was Sonic the Hedgehog. I was 4(ish).
I wasn't hooked until I got Tekken 2 for the PS1 when I was 8.
