How did you pick your avatar?

I got mine by accident, actually.

I added a random picture as my avatar just to get the little badge, for kicks, since I don't even display it. But then I couldn't find a way to take it off and go back to not having one, so I had to pick a real avatar after that.

So I've got Manny from various Greasy Moose sketches yelling "THA LIZAAAAAAAAARDS!!!" High five to anyone that recognizes it.

I don't know, actually. I saw a still Hypnotoad while browsing around and used it, then weeks later decided to get an animated one. Before Hypnotoad, I went through a dozen or so non-Hypnotoad avatars.

Seriously? Every single 'what evil person are you?' quiz I've taken for giggles have given me Hannibal. And he's a badass. And I personally own this particular action figure (doll lolz). So I set it against the wall, took a small pic and Bam! Avatar. Won't ever change it.

I watched Evil Dead 2. I liked Evil Dead 2. I made it my avatar. Specifically the scene where Ash first gets possessed by the Evil.

I pulled the files off the DVD and edited down to that, made it a bit brighter and turned it into a .gif. I then gave it to Mrbacon, who added the E at the end.

I'm very proud of it.

I chose Kratos because I wanted to choose an avatar to express me. So since I'm a bad ass, I chose Kratos.

Ah, common problem.

The .gif image you're using cannot be larger than 75x75 resolution. If it is, then this site tries to resize it as a normal image and you just get the first frame.

This site here can help you resize .gif files.

I got bored with the One Free Bullet picture I was using before, so I tried to find something distinctive. I like Disturbed, so naturally I wanted to use one of their album covers, and Believe was the easiest to work with in Paint, so after a few modifications, that became my avatar. I'm starting to wonder if it's time to get a new one, though.

I was going to use a VG Cats avatar on Steam, but it wouldn't work when I joined the Escapist, it hit me that I could use this image.

But someone else was using it.

Just liked the look of it. Inverted the colors though.

It kind of looks like the logo for the bad guys in Haze.

Mine is the latest in my line of Bird avatars. As it's March Mayhem this month I went for a bird that is the March Mayhem colours: Blue, White, and Orange therefore Kingfisher.

I went with Jack O'Neals bonzo rant from Stargate SG1, one of the funniest episodes ever. What made you pick yours?

Great episode. Personally I'll have to go with "200" for funniest episode, but it's close. The part where they're practising their drives into the wormhole is fantastic. I don't know, I'm just one of those guys who kind of does things when he's interested in it, for example, at the time I made Robbie my avatar I was playing the original Silent Hill game on my PS and very into all things Silent Hill, so I decided to choose Robbie as my avatar, and right now I am listening to the Gorillaz newest album so I might put Plastic Beach as my avatar soon

I enjoyed P.N. 03 greatly (even with its flaws, it was still a fun game), and as I like dancing and Vanessa Z. Schneider's moves are reminiscent of that, I chose an image. It's only by coincidence that she looks like she's flying, too.
