I act differently and i treat people different. On the internet i am more likely to be open to discussion and accept others' views whilst offline people tend to be I AM RIGHT SO THERE with such seething arrogance that i can't even be bothered to try with them. People tend to be more sycophantic and hide who they really are offline, too. Someone may not voice their real opinion in a situation so as not to offend others in the room, or they may change their body language entirely to suit the topic of conversation or any signals they want to give to others - 70% of all human communication is through body language, after all. Also, i would say that on the internet we consider ourselves to be equal because there is no one defining feature, we are all a body of text. Take a racist and an African-American, offline he would probably spew hate at the man but online the racist wouldn't even know he is talking to that same African-American (unless otherwise stated) so really the internet is the only place where people are truly equal, and as a result, people tend to act like themselves and who they really are as they have no need for "protecting" themselves against anything, the internet is entirely anonymous and you are safe from persecution / ridicule / whatever. Of course, having personality disorders like AvPD greatly affects the difference as well as they don't really come into play online due to it being entirely anonymous as i said. (unless it's a different kind of disorder like dyslexia)

I'm a lot more outspoken on the web (though that's an obvious thing). [small]I also tend to use brackets a lot more online as well.[/small] I'm generally better at talking to those I don't know online (otherwise I really would be in trouble)...
I swear more IRL as well.

That's about it though. I don't change the kind of things I'd say online at all.

I'm exactly the same here as I am anywhere else. I don't try to hide it through internet anonymity or anything like that.

I'm a pretty open person, very nerdy, and all that, but I act the same way offline.

Same on both sides of the coin but I tend to make more effort in my discussions on the net.

Pretty much the same, except on the internet I use bigger words and speak with more...clarity, I guess, since there is as much time as I need to make the posts.

I am friends with all the "pricks" in real life, the people that steal, always talk about fighting and insault random people that pass by, I have done some of those myself, but online i'm kinda like the nice guy that is polite and nice to others (unless on 4chan or omegle, there i'm just a simple bastard/sarcastic guy)so I kinda have 2 online personas that are different to the real me.. why you ask? ... i say: for the lulz

I'm more sarcastic in real life. I just try to avoid it online since sarcasm doesn't travel well over the intertubes. That's really about all I can think of.

My missus tells me I talk in an American accent when I'm online.

It's hard not to when your buddies are all going 'dude!'. lol
