i normally just say "yellow" simple and sometimes when used enough annoying. but if its random people calling to sell stuff like this one ict group the keeps on calling -.- i just say "fuck off we dont want enything" then hang up

To unknown callers I answer with "yes, what?" or simply hello if I'm feeling in a friendly mood.
If it's my friends or people I know I use "'lo" or "y'ello" or something like that.
If it's my Brother or Mum I use "Ja meine Fuhre?"

If the caller ID says it's someone I know, I usually say "Ahoy-hoy?"

Otherwise it's just "hello". Don't wanna answer the phone to a potential employer with ahoy-hoy...

Friends - I mix it up too much to say them all. A few that have been mentioned already.

"Nnnnuh?!" - Any time of the night, then again, that's all I say on the phone late at night.

Actually, I use that when one of my sisters calls me. The reactions are the best.

My mate answers the phone "Steak & eggs?" every now and again, and i have no idea why.

I have scripts at work that i have to answer the phone with.

I usually answer "Hello?" or if its a friend "City Morgue, You stab 'em, we slab 'em" or "bobs cemetary, you kill 'em, We grill 'em!"
