How do you counter campers and g18 aimbo noobs?

A little technique I thought up about a month or so ago.

I call it the 'Power Button'. Pretty self explanatory.

Not that I think there's anything wrong with camping, but if you want to get the campers it's easy. After all, you know where to find them. Funny thing is, I was camping once and shot this guy, and then he came back and tried to get me but I got him again. This kept repeating again and again.

Grenades work great on campers (as I think everyone else has already mentioned). If they're on a fairly open level defending an area, the Javelin can be an unwelcome surprise for them as well.

As for akimbo asshats, take 'em out at medium to long range. Sniping works great against akimbo weapons, but then you get moaned at for sniping. That is one thing I've noticed about MW2, everyone hates on the tactic that counters their own favourite tactic.

A method that works against both is the Riot Shield. You need to be in a team with good communication and have someone following behind you (preferably someone who is a good shot) otherwise you'll just get flanked though.

Never rush/change weapon/reload around a corner. That will up ur game alot. By campers, do u mean snipers who sit in a house across map og someone with shotgun i a corner? agains snipers u can run zigzag? they havent ever really bothered me. against corner campers u actually have the upper hand most of the time because when u sit in a corner u loose at little focus because of the boredom. so i u look into the corner before running past it then i will kill him

Single sniper - Flank and 'nade, I prefer 'nades to semtex myself; cook and boom! Watch out for claymores covering the way in.
Group sniping - This may compromise you're gaming morals but a grenade launcher attachment with the grenade launcher secondary and boom the shite out of their post. Alternatively you could try using the shield, but if two snipers are covering one approach that won't work.

Akimbo - If they are using akimbo or AA12s and doing what you are doing with your ghost setup then they will always beat you I'm afraid, in a situation where you're both running and see eachother at the same time. To beat these chaps you need to play more conservative and longer range.

The best way for me to kill campers is when I snipe. I like using the sniper rifle and I have been able to kill a lot of campers by sniping. Yeah, I am camping as well but I am not using a an M4 when I do camp.

My answer to the campers and other broken multi-player elements of MW2... BF:BC2.

Seriously, I started to really get tired of the glitching/cheating that I just quit MW2. I started BF:BC2 and haven't looked back since.

Or do what I do and play Arma 2 with ACE 2 enabled, last guy I saw who played it like MW2 ran out with a .50 cal sniper and a javelin, ran out of stamina and got shot in the face by a farmer with a hunting rifle.

If people camp on that game you can go 2km away, set up your Barret M82 on a bipod and snipe them through a wall.

Wasn't that a bug? The militia having 100% perfect accuracy at ZOMGWTF ranges far beyond what the military could possibly do even with heavy equipment like a .50 gun?

And to me, the best way to deal with campers, grenade spammers, aimbots, wallhackers and other MW2 idiocy is playing BF:BC2.

For those who play MW2 how do you counter these threats? I uasully play with my ninja class (bling pro, cold blood pro, ninja pro with ump silencer and fmj) and i just try to flank and grenade spam the shit out of campers. So how do you do? tips and trix plix.

Pro-tip: Don't play Modern Warfare 2.

It is a broken and unbalanced multiplayer, just play COD4 or try a different multiplayer. Seriously, I don't see ANYTHING in MW2 multiplayer which is worthwhile improvement over COD4.

It's only reason for MW2' success if hype built up from the deserved reputation of its prequel.

How does the G18 thing work? I tried using one and it's alright, but when I see people killcam me with two they seem to be pinpoint accurate.

One is good enough, but when akimbo'ed, G18s appear to have the smallest crosshair in the game for dual weapons (i tested). It gets even smaller with steady aim, making them essentially automatic shotguns with no range limitations. The low damage is compensated by one of the highest rates of fire in the entire game, which is doubled on akimbo. There's recoil, but it's very controllable and with a little experience you can spray these and kill people mid-range, becoming even more deadly with scavenger, stopping power and steady aim. Not to mention they're pistols. Sidearms. A sniper's best friend.

I think they're currently the game's most overpowered weapon, and only because of the abnormal crosshair size.
