I suppose some people just either like having sexual relations with both or just don't mind..
Personally, I assume its just for a great big ball of human lust, when you're horny not many parts of your brain will say no to more sex...
I also assume we refer more to the female bisexual rather than the male variant, which is considerably rarer..
Where are you getting your facts? Porno sites have informed me of the latter tidbit, so of course I don't believe it at all.
I'm not using facts at all, its just a load of personal opinion I threw together to make an argument as to what I think of bisexuals.. and the latter bit, I was using what is probably a misnomer based on pornographic evidence and experiences...

Why are you trying to explain bisexuals when you can be taking advantage of it?
You men! Go find bisexual girls and have fun!
You womenz! Go find bisexual men and have fun!
Gawd! Stop trying to screw everything up! >__<

well I guess I can cross 'have great senses of humour' off the list of ways i would describe a bi-sexual.

It's just like being hetero or homosexual. You are attracted to what you're attracted to. I very much doubt there's any more thought process than with anyone else.
Edit: Ninja'd on the first part.
That pretty much sums up everything that comes to my mind about it.
I don't know why I am one, I just am.

Some people are straight

Some people are gay

Some people are attracted to both (or all, if you're omni)

That pretty much sums it up. I don't see what's to explain.

do u think a vulnerable person could be manipulated at a sensitive stage into believing he/she is gay?
Of course! Why, just the other day I manipulated a vulnerable person into believing he was black. They couldn't be born that way, of course; that's just a myth propagated by Commies.

If you believe the the Kinsey scale it shouldn't be to hard to understand, I think most people are bi to some degree. Emphasis on most there, there's always gonna be an exception.

I thought I was bisexual for a while, and I probably am at some point in my annoyingly complex self, but I don't really feel conciously attracted to girls. It's probably too weird to put into words, but whatever.

As far as others go, bisexuals are just people who are attracted to both sexes... more fuckery with genes and whatever it is that changes sexuality. I'd actually like to research that ^^

We are hardly genetically programmed into the three categories of heterosexual, bisexual, and homosexual. Our attractions are a combination of genetic pre-programming and our reactions to our surroundings and situations. To put it simply, we are all bisexual. Some are more inclined to one sex or another, and some are interested in both.

According to Statistics Canada, 10% of Canadians are homosexual or bisexual. However, I would think that some of that 90% are lying to themselves, and some were simply to preoccupied with the opposite sex to notice a their own. I'm sure that given the right conditions, likely involving depression, those in the heterosexual category would take some interest in their own sex.
All WOMEN are bisexual.

I swear to Odin males are not. ANd you cannot convince me otherwise.

Bi-sexual to my mind means to not have any fixed sexuality.

Though, if you then think about that a bit, it's a bit odd when you consider that 'Bi-sexual' is now considered a separate sexuality on its own in it's own right.

Hmmm.

Oh and no, I'm not.
My sexuality is fixed. It's just located in an area that allows me to enjoy men and women.
Surely if we're bound to be fixed by the idea of sexuality (as apparently we all are), which is defined, usually, by whether you are attracted to your own or the opposite gender, surely desiring both at the same time (potentially) falls outside of that, essentially breaking the mould (surely a good thing?).

I can't help but be curious about What actual parts of the brain/ neurochemicals dictate how sexual attraction works. Research has shown that the horomone flooding which happens during fetus development can effect what a child's preference becomes later on.
I've gotten more curious about the how part as well, and largely because of how many claim to be so on the Escapist wonder how much of it is environmental. I know it tends to be a younger crowd on the Escapist from what I'm used to, by a good 10 years or so, and when I look back at my time through high school/college there's just nothing to relate to here. Two things seem to have happened inbetween though (from my high school days at least), quick and easy access to any sort of porn you could want, and the rise of the emo-subculture where it became cool for guys to be bi. If you could post this question online only 10 years ago the answers would be very different, so there's gotta be something to it.

Bi-sexual - Someone who is SEXUALLY attracted to both sexes.

And you can't be fooled into BEING gay, only into gay acts.

I have slain this thread.
And we have a winner!
