If those series are the kind of thing that you like, I can heavily recommend Ergo Proxy or Texhnolyze. Texhnolyze even has the same director as Serial Experiments Lain.PoisonUnagi said:I've only just started watching anime, I'm halfway through Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni at the moment. And it's completely awesome.
I have Serial Experiments Lain lined up next... that should be VERY different.
I've been on this site for a year now and I've never seen that group ...damn, my loss. You guys should advertise it more. Anyways, i joined up, since well, i like anime. At least some of it. I have my preferences.therandombear said:I'm a member in this group: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/Anime-Fans
I'm running into the exact same problem. I grew up watching anime, but the only recent series that have piqued my interest are Canaan and Blassreiter. I think most of this is because of the moe boom that Japan is just now dragging itself out of.Rex Dark said:I love anime!
I seem to be slowly running out of new anime series to watch...
Anime is a medium, not a genre. They tell stories as wide and varied as books, movies, tv, video games, comics, etc.TheLaofKazi said:It's alright. As with any genre, there is good and bad and it's all a matter of personal taste. I like that it tends to explore emotions, themes, and aesthetics that are somewhat absent from other genres.
Isn't that Nabeshin?Leemaster777 said:I'm a fan, although I don't watch it as much as I'd like.
Currently, I'm enamored by an anime called Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt. It. Is. Hilarious.
Ditto. I've even been to a convention for anime-cosplayers XDSubzerowings said:I'm in this group: http://www.escapistmagazine.com/groups/view/We-use-Anime-avatars
How do you think I feel about anime?
Yeah, some people take it WAAAAAY too far. Its kind of disturbing really.SODAssault said:Studio Ghibli and Cowboy Bebop are about as far down the rabbit hole as I'm willing to go. No offense to anybody present, but the fanbase has repelled me from getting into it.
I highly recommend you to at least try Death Note [http://www.hulu.com/death-note]. I think you'll like it.Ironic Pirate said:Dislike them, mostly because of OVER THE TOP ANIME REACTIONS!![]()
