It's usually "haha, I remember that", or something. Being starved for messages as it is, it makes me feel special. :D

i'm actually commenting on this right now in the hopes someone quotes me. it's a weird sort of thrill, very ephemeral, yet intensely satisfying. Like heroin!

of course, the quote is usually something like "i disagree with your statement" and the reply is usually "but it is in fact so" and i want to slap myself for getting excited over something so trivial. but i dont, because my arm's angle and position is unsuited for slapping my own face.

One of three things will happen.

1. Someone will use my comment as an example to prove their point

2. Someone will personally agree with my comment

3. Someone will disagree with my comment and make a witty joke about my ignorance

I rarely post in the first place, because I often don't have a lot to contribute, or fear that I might be misunderstood.
But still, I like being quoted.

Used to be a mix of mild Joy from having a Post be noticed by somebody and a Fear that I somehow did something horribly wrong.

Now it's just a mix of Interest and Fear...
Be nice to get the Joy part back.

I have a very slight [sub]yay[/sub] escape from my mouth as I'm assuming that someone is either answering a question I had, clarifying their position on something or saying something slightly humorous that has something to do with my post.

I love being quoted. Makes me feel important, warm and fuzzy inside.

To me it means that someone has read my post, thought about it, and taken time to respond to it.

I appreciate it, as long as it isn't trolling.

Depends on the thread.

If it's a thread where I had an opinion on the topic or a post in the topic, 50/50 that the reply is either agreeing or disagreeing with me. I don't like those odds.

If it's an RP thread, it's always good news.

Side note: Replies in Group Chat have been nothing but good for me.

I'm p[retty indifferent towards being quoted. If it's my own thread I usually like it simply becuase it's contributing more to a discussion I'm obviously interested in continuing. However;

this sometimes happens to me and I hate it. Sometimes you just want to drop something, but people just keep on quoting you. See that dumb furry thread. My inbox is flooded with messages from it. Worst example of this was when I actually edited my post to tell people not to quote me, but they kept on doing it anyways.

I was going to say that you're wrong because I'm not pointing out that you're wrong but then my head exploded.

On topic I feel glee that somebody felt that what I said deserved a response. Kind of "Someone LOVES me!"
Well you ninja'd me on quoting zombiesinc with that... and that was probably the most amusing (to me) quoting I could have done here, so um... jerk.

OT: Well... the blinking red message really tugs on my curiosity, so that's nice/annoying. Depends on if I feel like I've posted anything worth quoting, really.

To be qouted is to be recognized by another individual that you/they are either: Someone with an Agreeable Situation or Idea; A worthy opponent; A Seeker-Troll; Desperate; Or anyone accepting a compliment. Though because like most things, there are an infinite amount of reasons why people do things... but these are the reason why I have been qouted.

How do I feel though? It actually makes me excited. As a Writer and Egotistical Elitist Bastard, it makes me a very happy pony to know that I am recognized for my work, thoughts, and/or idea's. Most of the time it is people just agreeing with me, complimenting my way of thinking, or accepting my compliment.

i feel like it is a double edged sword, the person could be agreeing with me, but for the worst reasons, or it could start a chain reaction of people telling me i spelled something wrong... good times.

Even when someone is saying you shouldn't have children or someone's shaking their fist at you for your possible involvement in the creation of Cupcakes? Huh...

Pfft, like someone on these forums would ever do that, you clearly know nothing about the Escapist community... oh wait...

I used to get excited, but lately I've just felt apathetic. People seem to agree with me too often, meaning the discussions I engage in are generally one-sided.
If it's that annoying you could always try being right less often.

OT: I generally like it because it means I said something interesting enough to be noticed. But there's always a little voice in the back of my mind wondering if I'm being noticed because I made a fool of myself. So I'm a bit conflicted.

It happens every so often. The little box tells you you have one new message, it's in the quoted folder. How do you feel?

For me I get the excitement of having said something important enough for someone to want to reply or expand on what I've said. That and the worry that I've posted something sounding quite aggressive and it's going to be someone calling me out on being a prick.

So, how do YOU feel?
I dunno.

How do YOU feel?
Same question!

It makes me feel like people give a shit about what I have to say. Feels pretty good, actually.
