Okay, okay. Idiotic meme aside, i generally feel that The Escapist is a place of liberalism. While this is supposed to be a good thing, it can result in a bit of hive-mind thinking. If you don't agree with the liberal views of the majority of the boards for example you often get targeted. However liberalism is a funny thing and people with an open enough mind are willing to accept your view even if they disagree with it.
People here tend to be smarter than most other online forum goers and people on instant messaging services. People are less superficial and willing to tackle difficult subjects like what is wrong and right, particularly things to do with ethics and morals. I've also found this community to be one of the most accepting to date. Most people are friendly towards you regardless of your race, gender, sexual orientation and so on. Which is a lot more than can be said for the real world where you still get such open discrimination.
Long story short; i heart you guys.
The mods here are very good at keeping trolling to a minimum. Its a refreshing change to say the WoW forums. Seriously you'd think raking in a billion $'s a year they could afford a decent and highly active mod team. But apparently they all need another yacht, and another car to get to said yacht, and another garage for said car, and another house for said garage, as well as possibly owning a new state for said house and maybe even a new country for said state.
