Meh, most people here are downright awesome. There's always a good thread on the go, and bitchfights are kept to a nice minimum.

Most people seem alright, in an I-don't-know-you-but-you-seem-mature kind of way. There are some whose names and avatars I always recognize; most of these are the people I really like because of their good nature. I don't really know any of them though, being more of a lurker myself.

Unfortunately, there are some members who have their heads firmly stuck up their own arses, and the misanthropy displayed here borders on the ridiculous at times. That said, on the most part I think this is a splendid community, and certainly one of the most mature internet havens. So, thank you for all the great threads. They're usually a pleasure to read.

...I should really contribute more to discussions, instead of just reading.

The Escapist is excellent. I rarely find forums I enjoy, so it's exciting to have a place full of discussion where I rarely want to stab anyone in the throat and tell them why they're wrong in excruciating detail while they slowly die.

This site is good but far from perfect. The community is great, even without comparing to others like YouTube and 4Chan. Caring about grammar, welcoming new members, respecting other's opinions, and some good discussions every now and then. However, I have seen some pretty dull and repeated topics, flaming [small](Halo, MW2, Zynga, and console flaming, specifically)[/small], and disrespect towards some people's religious believes and sexual preference, which has me pretty shocked. Still, that's something I'm sure will improve in the future.

Over all, yeah, these guys are pretty cool. Some I'd prefer not to talk about, but there's still a larger majority of the good.

All of my freinds have never heard of a meme, or 4chan, or basically anything of internet origin, so I think this is the only place I can really discuss internet culture. All of my friends are also idiots when it comes to an actual intellectual conversation or way of thinking, so this is the only place I can have a in depth conversation.
