Cordless hammerdrill with 1/2" masonry bit, through the forehead and into the frontal lobe.

You can't. If people chose to believe something because it is convenient or comfortable for them, rather than due to actual facts, they can continue to do so despite whatever facts you throw at them.

As a general rule, oppressors always, always pretend they are victims, or are about to be victims, of whoever they are oppressing, which they will deny they are doing. You cannot convince them otherwise. Maybe they grow up on their own, but you can't really accelerate it.

I don't know how things are handled in the US since I've never been there (I suppose it varies heavily from state to state) but if you guys handle the whole slavery thing the way we Germans handle Hitler, you are forcing these people into racism. Yes, forcing. If I, a German, am remotely proud of being German, I am labelled a racist nazi. If I just personally prefer German women because I just find them more attractive than anyone else, I am labelled a racist nazi. If feeling guilt for the actions of terrible people that lived and died before I existed seems ridiculous to me, I am labelled a racist nazi.

But! There is one small part of society that won't do that, in fact, they will encourage those sentiments. If I hold those kind of views - none of them too ridiculous to start with - there is one group of people and one political party that will accept me and not label me a racist nazi. I think we all know who those people are.
I have to agree and disagree at the same time. I'd say it is the small part of society that "force you into racism" (for lack of a better phrase) - an incredibly loud minority. This might sound like... y'know, what's it called... optimism? But I believe that the majority of people are those sane, rational group that can process things with, like, their human brains, and draw reasonable conclusions based on external stimuli.

Besides from that, I agree with you. I just think we as a society like to blow negatives out of proportion and keep positives tucked neatly in their beds where no-one can get them - it's easy to feel like when a relatively small portion of society is out for you that everyone is out for you, y'know? Which is what leads to people in this video clutching at straws to defeat exaggerated arguments that, if they exist at all, come from people as crazy and wrong on the left as they are on the right.

And I know there is racism against white people in Africa and many Asian countries. My point was more that even if there wasn't, they wouldn't be interested in moving their fat asses over to where they don't get their three square meals a day and plenty of Christian public access television channels.

I disagree. Were that the case, racism (and similar things) would be more or less constant, wouldn't it? Cultural influences and so on wouldn't have such a big effect.

EDIT- Whoop wrong comment.

Err I can't really form a comment to the above video without going on that they had still in fact racist without coming off as an possible idiot.

I mean to be against racism is wanting to achive equality for everyone regardless of their background and in that video, they are pretty much only interested for their own interests, in another word, they still in fact racist (I mean the underling racism as a whole).

Also I'm sure if this link contribute to anything but it kind of seen relavent-

Seriously? Men's Rights movement, now a White's Rights movement? What's going to be the next "activism" movement that's used as a thin guise for bigotry? Straight's rights?
Disabled people.
They can use our parking spaces but we can't use theirs. It's discrimination of the highest order!

With fists, obviously.

But all joking aside, that video was... unnerving I would say. The way they presented it and made it look was for me way more scarier if there were giant burly muscle bald men holding clubs, saying those things.
I don't want to rant but: For fucks sake, Racism =/= White people (white people don't even exist like an ethnic group, last time I check it was labeled caucasian).
Newsflash- racism isn't color dependent. Everyone can be racist, whether it be African, Asian, Indian, Native American, it all boils to that persons world views. Japanese people tend to be pretty heavy on foreigners living in Japan, but that doesn't mean that everyone is like that. Nor is every German who is proud on his country a Nazi. If someone tells you otherwise, your best defense is brisk walking pace, right away. They're not worth arguing with, as they won't be persuaded and we can all agree that some people are not worth the hate they can make.

Just kind of curious what you meant by this, what reception did you have in mind? I've lived in Japan for over 4 years now as a white guy and have never been met with any racism or xenophobia. Do I think it exists? Of course, I dont think any country is without it, but to think Japan is better or worse than other countries seems kind of strange to me at least.

Wasn't there a thing a while ago about how people are being picked on for being too beautiful? Dunno if that's still a thing.

That video is a very dumbed down take on what is an incredibly complex social issue in reality. They have a (poorly stated) over-arching point, but I don't generally agree with their presentation of it, and the second half of the video just comes off as very odd.

Race replacement (read: in their words, genocide) is a thing though.

You've only got to look at demographic projections for a host of Western nations to see that by 2050 most of them will be unrecognisable when compared to today. Rampant immigration since the 90s (particularly in the UK) has laid the foundations and birth rates amongst various minorities, especially amongst those from North Africa and the Middle-East are 4-8 times higher than those of the "natives", sealing the deal.

People naturally feel threatened by this, especially when ethnicities tend to also culturally ghetto themselves and "assimilation" is by and large a myth (though there are exceptions).

London is no longer the city I knew as a boy. Is that a good or bad thing? I never quite made my mind up about it - time will tell I suppose.

Great excuse to embed this:

That's a very large stereotype. I know people who have moved to Japan and have never had any issues. In fact they are married to Japanese women and have children.

Sure, there's going to be some racism, but it's hardly worse than the average country like you seem to imply.

You can't. These people are so convinced of their ideals that any evidence or compelling arguments against them further solidifies their belief that they're right. Do you think that anyone with extreme views has gone through life without hearing any of the best contradictions to them?

It's called The Backfire Effect.

I'd just like to say a few things.

First, no, I will not watch the video. I value my sanity.

Second, I have a reaaaaally long rant about racism and how overblown it is now-a-days (note, I said NOW-a-days, not in slave times etc.) but I can't be fucked to type it out now. I'd just like to say how easily people shout rap- racism. If I say someone is white, because they are white, or black, because they are black, as in "Hey, did you see Mark?" "Who?" "The black guy" "GASP RACISSSSST!" it is NOT racist. It is simply describing someone. Like if I say, the blonde one or the red haired one."

Thirdly, I would like to say to all the people who ever say that whites do not cop racism, one of my uncles meet an Asian lady while he was teaching English over in her country, and they got married and had a baby. Her parents then said that he was not good enough for their daughter and tried to take his kid away.

So no, if you say that white people do not recieve racism, you are wrong.

Also, frog eyes.

Know all those little kids who do Japanese or Chinese eyes by pulling them tight? One of my relatives visited Japan and some kids did frog eyes to him, where they pushed there eyes into circles.

WHaaaaaaat...is THIS?!

>.>

I mean. Really? So much privilege in one vid. It's disturbing.

These crazies are never going to figure out what racism even means, but I guess you could start by doing this exercise.

It's a bit of a long watch, but even watching the beginning and the second part starting from 9:10 is kinda fascinating. I think it's really important that we stop being afraid of the word racist, as if being called a racist is even worse than actually doing something prejudiced.

Might be important for us white folk to, you know, listen rather than deny deny deny or keep making up excuses like 'they did it too!'

Anyway, as a Dutchman I couldn't help but laugh when they mentioned Belgium and the Netherlands. I'd bet my cheese-eating windmill loving ass on it that these Southern belles wouldn't be able to find it on a map, even if it was ONLY a map of the BeNeLux.
Fellow Dutchie rolling my eyes at that part too. I wasn't even sure what they were getting at...sooo, it's crowded here and in Japan..but we would be somehow pressured? I guess...into bringing in foreigners because we're white?

What?

Last I checked we encouraged most of them to come here AND that half of them are white anyway.
