French Press cold brew with whatever dark roast is on sale, taken with ice and a splash of cream is how I start my day (plus some French Presses for my triceps)

It can be alcoholic, but usually these days it isn't, and Barritt's isn't. I'm not much of a drinker myself, having maybe a couple of beers a year if at all (don't love the taste much). I fill that void in my beverage life with some really good sodas. Barritts is probably my favorite, In general though, you can find some amazing versions of popular styles (especially orange sodas, and that kind of thing) made with some care. Cane sugar instead of corn syrup especially, while no more healthy for you, changes the mouth feel and taste a bit (for the better in my opinion).
Old Jamaica, whether in a can or plastic bottle, tastes heavenly. I can only imagine what it would taste like in a glass bottle.

I don't. Caffeine is a poison and I find it hard to understand how many people can't observe this when it enters their body.

It's not by any definition a poison. LD50 is between 150-250 mg/kg. In comparison water got a LD50 of about 90 ml/kg. Water is thus between 60 and 270% more toxic than caffeine assuming SATP.

OT: Freshly ground pure black espresso for me, sometimes I also like to make myself a cappuccino with half a teaspoon of sugar and cinnamon.

Poisons need not induce death.

Sure, but it would help if it was more toxic than the substance that as far as we know is the main requirement for life.

Edit: Is this going to be one of those "I don't need to use definitions, science or any kind of knowledge to be right!" kind of discussions? Because if so I'm out.

I get my caffeine from soda. Lots and lots of soda. My two favorite sodas being Dr Pepper and Coke.

I've had the individual cups before at my old job. The coffee was always extremely bitter. And yes, the capsules are really wasteful. I'd be lying if I said I stopped because of the excessive use of plastic though. It was mostly the off-putting taste.

Now I go for maximum pretentiousness by buying beans from a micro-roasterie in town, grinding the beans myself, and using a French press. It's not very efficient, but it is delicious. No cream or sugar necessary.

Although, I don't discriminate a lot either. I will drink whatever is in the pot at work when I don't bring my own. It's still pretty good. I usually have around 2 cups a day. Too much caffeine will make me jittery all day and unable to sleep at night.

I'll also drink caffeinated colas occasionally for lunch or dinner like Coke or Pepsi. I try to buy the stuff made with real sugar. It has a different sort of sweetness to it that I like.

I suppose it's because they enjoy the taste and it doesn't make them ill. Are you lactose-intolerant?

Instant coffee, either half hot water, half cold milk and 2 sweetners, or microwave some milk to have it 100% milk.

More likely to have tea from bag, much less milky than the coffee but still 2 sweetners.

These lovely, little flavor packets I can simply add to any water. A good deal of my personal favorites are caffeinated.

No, it's any form of caffeine - chocolate, coffee, soft drink, tablet. Makes me feel like i'm dying, intense anxiety, hallucinations. I wouldn't take it if someone paid me $1000.

I take caffine pills. I've always hated coffee but I've gotten to the point in my life where sometimes the extra zing is needed to kick me into work mode.

I'm a caffeine fiend and I have about a pot of coffee a day.

During the week, I will go to my local coffee shop and get a large of whatever the coffee of the day is and I will do that twice a day. Work has some coffee and I will drink that on and off, and I eventually have to make a pot since that's just the way it is. Then about 5pm I will hit up a coffee shop near campus for a large some cold brew. I normally do that with some cream, but there are days where I drink it black. That stuff is strong, let me tell you.

Then on the weekends, I will go through a pot in the morning/early morning and call it good.

I really don't do anything fancy with the stuff. Just some milk/cream and that's about it.

Check with a doctor. That's absolutely NOT how caffeine affects more than 95% of other adults who take it.

Claiming that it does, is somewhat intellectually dishonest, by the way.
