It's funny that you ask actually. I keep a bunch of guys in my attic that are actually fairies and funnily enough their only talent is to play music. Basically I tell them whatever song I want to hear and the replicate it perfectly for me.

hmmm, buy off itunes, a novelty, since ive only just got it, or get it through 'special sources' as to how i find it, i tend to find it on myspace, so a lot of legal free downloads as well, email the band to bug them for free tracks(it works!) or find the reccomended bands on last.fm all in all i support bands by seeing them play live, and giving htem a fucking hefty whack of money then instead!

I just get them of Mininova. It's the easiest way.

I mean errr....Itunes. Yes. I get all my songs legally and i pay money for all of them. *shifty eyes*

Frostwire > Limewire. Less viruses, same stuff. I seem to recall something called mininova, and something called rapidshare... but I can't remember what exactly that was, or what exactly I had to do with them.

The music that I DJ with (vinyl/mp3), comes from www.juno.co.uk, www.beatport.com, and www.htfr.com

When I'm looking for obscure stuff, I tool around www.4shared.com, or a multitude of other internet sites.

I buy indie CDs. Torrent mainstream stuff. I'm not against piracy, I just won't do it to people who can't afford the hit. I also prefer to use freeware as much as I can to avoid the issue on where I get my programs.

If it's a specific song, Google can usually find it streaming somewhere, and there's a million ways to get it after that.

mostly torrents and sites, because i like ful albums but don't all ways have the money, when I really like an album for more than one song I buy the album to support the band, problem is I listen to a lot of metal, and lets face it good metals hard to find, good american metals impossible to find so I rely on sites for that.

I get it off of my Dad's Terrabyte drive with a bunch of music on it. Or internet radio.
That's a unique way, Ive never thought about internet radio much.
Try Pandora. You seed a station with bands and songs you like, and they take the elements of them and match them together to play songs you might like.
Oddly, it took me a while to realize, "hey I should try this", So now I took a look at it, and I love it.

Cds are a must, I have a stack behind my laptop and a stereo to my left. Bliss.

I do however admit to downloading music illegally for either one of three reasons.

1) I already own the cd, but the band or label re-release the album with an extra couple of songs. I've bought the cd so I feel that I'm entitled to the new songs.
2) Leaked copies of cds that I already have on pre-order. I know that some will argue that I may hate the cd and cancel the order but due to pride I maintain the order and pay the cd, hoping that subsequent listens will make me like the cd.
3) Cds I can't buy, or at least reasonably. Paying a person on eBay £50 for a limited pressing demo is not worth it, especially when no money will even go to the band.
