I don't actively try and impress people. It just kinda happens when you're me.

Everyone around me is so bad with computers that I look amazing in comparison.

By being incredibly nice to every thing. Literally. It seems to take a great deal for me to stop being nice to people in real life.
Mix in a liberal helping of wit, and a dash of dashingness
and there's me!

I'm just a laid back geek, I have some seriously sarcastic/sadistic humor sometimes and I know alot about gaming and computers, if you can't relate to me on any of these things chances are I don't want to impress you, and if you can its likely that we'll be getting along swimmingly within the first ten minutes of meeting, I don't particularly like people in general and don't have any desire to meet them, I actually have a shirt that says "f**k you, I have enough friends"
It's my favourite, right next to my Zelda shirt =)

Christ some of you really love yourselves don't ya ? How can you sleep at night ? :p

That said, I mostly tend to scare people off, but it's actually not bad as I prefer *not* being in the company of people.

Most social interaction seems to me like some sort of a compromise between people. Everyone restrict themselves and are more or less conscious of their behaviour in an effort to impress others. Just like the title of this thread implies.
Who wants to go through all that ?

A somewhat interesting question to add to the thread would be "... and what impresses you about other people?" - To that I'd say: People who are earnest and straight-forward.

I'm handsome and eloquent. Also, I have an IQ of 136 and am quite, QUITE eccentric. Plus, my reputation for thrashing people into pulp at slight provocation adds an element of danger.

Being an occultist also helps things.

I don't impress people :)

Though a lot of people used to say I'm good at drawing... Managed to get the attention of the big guys at college cos of some pictures I drew for my concept art assignment.

I don't. It's either people notice me or they don't. Among my friends, my hair is supposedly interesting because you can play with the fringe (if you can call it that) that sticks forward at the end. It forms something like the brim of a baseball cap and always goes back to the way it was.
To some friends and apparently strangers, I'm supposedly good looking. Never saw what the big deal was myself.

I seem to be so smart I emit a field that makes people know that. I can also be quite funny at times, especially in social studies/history classes.

Being left handed seems to grab peoples attention for some reason

Saying what I think usually does it too.

I show off my prowess with juggling, and everybody except the assholes who actually don't enjoy a bit off skill all want to talk to me for about 5 minutes. Then they get bored >_<
