Run an electric current through it. This should disrupt signals being transmitted within it, and will eventually cook/melt it.

Edit- I just realized that that's better for organics- inanimate objects or nonconductive materials would probably be unaffected- in which case heat. There is an upper range of heat resistance for every material, just go beyond that.

You can't technically kill what's already dead, but you can re-kill what is undead. I think. I'm not certain but yeah, incapacitating it should do the trick. Or destroying what is controlling it.

Seriously. This is pretty much a one-shot kill.

In fact, there should be an RPG where you're a Healer in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. You need to heal those who are hurt, and destroy the undead.

You start off as a herbalist with a small farm to grow your healing ingredients. The beginning of the game is learning how to heal different types of wounds and diseases, and how to mix the medicine/salves/bandages required using what you have in your garden. More potent medicines require more difficult to grow ingredients.

A drastic case where a loved one falls ill to a mysterious disease has you going to the big city to find out more...

...just in time for the beginnings of a zombie apocalypse.
