How do you like your anime? (what kind are you into)

I like an anime that focuses on story and charecters, thats why i love Elfen Lied (for story) and Lucy Star (for charecters) Im not he type who likes alot of action im my anime. For example Naruto i feel tried to take to much on its plate and got to stuffed and got sick.
now i shouldent talk because i haven even gotten to Naruto: shup....shup...the fuck is that sopooaton....whatever. now that my mini revie is done....how do you like your anime?

I usually like the emotional kind, the kind that'll make me care and cry which is why I love Clannad.

But recently I've been switching over to fun, cheery anime like Asobi Ni Iku Yo!, which I highly recommend, especially to fellow catgirl lovers.

Mostly stuff like the Dragonball series, Naruto, One Piece, Death Note, Bleach, Trigun, Hunter X Hunter...
But lately I'm watching other things too.

I hate shonen except for Gintama. All they do is talk and flashback then follow the DBZ way.

Well, I have a broad classification called 'epic mind fuck anime' and that basically encompasses anything that is thrillingly clever, with interesting characters/storyline etc. I generally prefer anime that isn't that long - under 40 episodes is good. And I love any anime that's funny. I don't really care if it isn't deep - I can get that elsewhere. But if it can make me laugh, then that's really something.

None really, I watch anime if the subject matter will appeal to me (Basically I've watched a few films and only cared for about one series). I mean The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is my favourite film but it's not like I'm going to sit through the manny crappy westerns just because I get a hard on for tumbleweeds (For want of a better analogy).

Just for the record I'm not very interested in the things alot of anime enthusiasts go gaga for like giant robots (Despite having picked up a Gundam figurine in Japan), swords and insane levels of sexualisation.

I used to like stuff like DBZ and Naruto, but when I realised all shonen manga follow the DB template I lost interest. Death Note was an exception. Now I only read Berserk, Gantz and Blade of the Immortal.

I prefer pretty serious anime. The most unserious anime I've ever liked is Haruhi Suzumiya (which in my eyes is still pretty serious), but I prefered Black Lagoon and Shikabane Hime.

Not too much chibi, not too much action, not too serious and preferably in some awesome age like 1930 or victorian age. I dont mind slice of of life and I cant stand ecchi.

As long as it doesn't get really weird I'm down with anything. I like some older stuff though. Most notably Robotech, and I just bought "Armored trooper votoms"

I like anything from Naruto to Death Note to Clannad. I do prefer story-driven anime to episodic and more comedic stuff, but that goes for all types of shows for me, not just anime.

I've watched Lucky Star, School days and 5 Centimetres Per Second.
I rarely watch anime because it's hard to find ones I like.

Weird. I dont think I've ever run into an anime that was bad. . . . . . . . . . . . . O wait. Bobobobobobobo was probably the most pointless crap I've ever seen.

I'd watch any anime under 100 episodes.
I mostly enjoy a good mature anime, but I enjoy anything from Elfen Lied to K-ON!

Meanwhile I prefer high-quality titles with a good story like the movies from Studio Ghibli, Jin-Roh, Grave of the Fireflies, Monster, etc. but I still enjoy enjoy action like Spriggan, fun like Lupin, and classics like Armitage and M.D.Geist... ^^

And stuff like Lodoss, NGE, Lupin, Cowboy Beebop, Akira, (continue list of classics 'till you drop) are beyond good and evil because they are cornerstones of anime.

And anime-TV-series is on a complete other record... ;-)
