How do you like your anime? (what kind are you into)

Urusai Yatsura, Astroboy and Lupin III are probably the only series I'm really a "fan" of.

I guess I'm not really much of an Anime fan. I'll watch a few things like Boogiepop Phantom, Neia_7, Cowboy Bebop or Serial Experiments Lain because they're good and they don't fall into the generic magical girl, supernatural romance, stupid fighty genres.

I'll also watch pretty much anything released by Studio Ghibli, I haven't seen anything of theirs that I haven't loved.

I have a variety of animes on my HD so i like a little of everything. If they are fun that is a plus and i dont mind action oriented ones either.

I rarely watch anime because it's hard to find ones I like.

I like the older stuff from the 90's.

I also really like the older Japanese kids cartoons, like Peter Pan No Bouken and The Moomins.

I like anime with well-devoloped characters and and interesting story...

But sometimes I like watching them just for the girls... Like if the show has a tsundere as the main character... I know I'll be tuning in...

Actually, thats all it really takes honestly... I'll see a picture of a character and I'll be all like... "Yeah... I think I'll watch that..."

Although, if the show is outright stupid, I switch to something else...

i like death note and code geass, yet i also like mushi shi. I hate things like naruto and inuyahsa.

Action, lots of it. Bleach until they started running a thousand of fillers, Dragon Ball Kai (like DBZ, but more action packed in fewer episodes) and Gurren Lagann.

I tend to really not like anime, but I keep trying different ones out because a lot of them are so bizarre that it's nice to at least get something different once in a while, even if it's shit.

Not counting DBZ and pokemon because I watched those when I was a kid, really the only anime that I would acknowledge as really fucking good is Samurai Champloo. 90% of anime is filled with extremely unlikable characters who just fall into some archetype and have like, one character trait. Samurai Champloo had great character development and storytelling, and best of all, it was blended in with the action. There was little no "Here's 20 minutes of plot development in which nothing interesting happens, now here's a new pointless character that you have to keep track of." Also, when there's a fight to the death, you're supposed to try to kill the other person, not do something, then explain what you did, then taunt them about how they aren't going to win, then allow them 30 seconds to evaluate your ability.

So yeah, that seems to be the one exception. I've heard Cowboy Bebop is good too but I still haven't gotten around to watching it. Though if someone can recommend an anime that's similar to samurai champloo, or is at least good in the regular sense of the word rather than just the anime sense of the word, I'll definitely give it a shot.

I don't have a certain kind i like, I like stuff from all over the genres.
For example: I liked Gurren Lagann, Naruto, Dragon Ball Kai, Code Geass, Trigun, but i olso liked Azumanga Daioh.
However I disliked Lucky Star, K-ON!, Gintama.
Well i can't read out a pattern from that, anyways.

I like both "slow" and fast paced animes, like Lucky Star, I love it for it's slowness and it's casualness and I love fast paced ones too.
Also, go watch Penguin Musume Heart (Or Penguin Girl some places), you WILL "WHAT?!" several times.
