Cardio along with a little weight training to better tone. Watching my diet, I've cut hundreds of calories that I used to consume some days. I try not to eat fast food, and when I do I eat really moderately. I've lost about 11 pounds over 4 months, so not incredably quick but I still get to eat some foods I like, also I've gained a noticeable amount of muscle from the weight training so I can't complain.

Watch your diet. Doesn't mean you can't have tasty fatty foods, but keep it in moderation. Lots of fruit and veggies.

Exercise regularly, I run about 3 miles every other day.

Find out what your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is, it's the least amount of food you need to survive. If you eat between 200 and 500 calories less than that you will lose weight.

There's a link for metric and improper imperial measurements for you.

Re-calculate it every fortnight or every month, because your BMR will go down based on your weight, height (If applicable), and activity load.
You have a BMR of 2052.
are you fucking kidding me? i already eat less than that and im gaining weight.

Chances are you're not eating between 1500 and 2000 cals a day. You may be unaware of the amount you're actually consuming, almost everyone estimates their caloric intake incorrectly, those who don't are well aware of their intake and the caloric value of everything they eat and drink.

since i live alone atm and make my own food (need to find a way to do that faster, really a time sucker) there is a high chance i calculate quite well.

Get appendicitis. I nearly died of appendicitis earlier this year, and lost about 10 kilograms in the process.
'Course I was already slim, so it was a bad thing...

You're probably underestimating your serving size. I had to use a measuring cup for the first week when I was first trying to rehab my diet. I'm from the US and our portions are so out of hand here. Using proper serving size took alot of getting used to. Also how you dress your meals can add alot of calories without you being aware.

Serving size is the big thing for me here in the United States. Just keep managing how much you consume, and make sure you're consuming the right things. Plus, I like to walk and cycle.

Another thing is that I don't drink much soda; I like to stick to an average of two cans a week, if that. Water works just as well, if not better, for quenching thirst.

I don't put on any excess weight. I'm just one of those guys who stays skinny, and I keep a lifestyle that reflects that.

I do 1-2 hours of P90X 5 days a week (a randomized order of the cardio routines only) I also eat very healthy. I find that I gain considerably less if I eat smaller portions more often then bigger portions spaced out, too. :)
You're back?

Welcome back.

OT: I've recently started going out for jogs a couple of times a week and eating healthier. I never used to really put on weight and I used to use that as an excuse to eat loads of sweets and stuff. Now it's catching up to me D:

I work out and eat less. It's not complicated and you don't need the special diets or spent money on weight watchers products.

Those paid programs don't teach any skills that you can apply for the rest of your life and they don't want to. They want you to gain the wait back as soon as you go off the program so yo have to go back to them. The worst example is Jenny Craig. Successfull weight loss only happens
with a sustainable life style change and no one is going buy over priced premade meals for the rest of their life.o

Exactly. Diets are a business and as a business they're only there to make money.

I'm always around 105-108.
But apparently eating nothing but junk food drops me down to 95 pounds. Go figure.

Well i've lost 3st in 3 months just by changing my diet, i do fuck all exercise at the moment, apart from walking up 3 flights of stairs to my flat 2 times a day or so.

High protien low carbs, like around 25g or less of carbs a day, i havn't eaten bread, rice, pasta or potatoes in this time. At the moment i'm having 1 bad meal a week (bad for my diet) so i might have curry one night or takeaway pizza etc.

-Edit: Forgot to mention i don't drink alcohol anymore, to expensive and not a fan of being drunk i tend to be an asshole when I've been drinking so avoid those situations.

Well done sir! This is how you do it folks (though most people probably don't need to drop to 25g or less of carbs. Depends on the person though. I feel pretty good keeping it around 10-20 tops too).
