I do this stuff. This is what I do. It's a huge aspect of who I am, and that's one clumsy bastard. I embrace it, I'm the king of self depricating humor, and I think it actually makes it a positive in some respects. To my friends it is known as "Mark in motion". There's a certain grace to the complete lack of grace.

I pretend i did it on purpose,

as i get to know people, im careful to set up a personality that would purposefully do stupid things for a joke. so... when when i do something stupid its taken as a sarcastic-esque joke by people that know me, and everyone else around me need only look at their reaction and feel the same way.

if im alone, it doesnt work so well.
i get all agressive and angry with myself in that case... so the few times anyone's made anything of it have ended in at least a threat, and at most a fight...

I yell "Inconsequential!" if it was a verbal mess-up, and yell "Do a barrel roll" if it was a physical mess-up.

Yep, yelling CAN solve all problems.

Laugh out loud. If you get someone to laugh with you, then it's all cool again.

I like that. "Absoludicrous." Brilliant. I would be interested in more things that 1 out of 1 Dr. Ts recommended. Do you know why Mr. T was making videos like this? I've seen others in a similar vein, like the "Love Your Mother" rap.

Alternately, you could always build a time-machine and make so it never happened! Disclaimer: Scientists have know idea what would happen to the space-time continuum should minute changes to past events occur. Your mileage may vary. Proceed at your own risk.
Unfortunately I have no idea what Mr T was making these videos, I think I saw it on a panel show originally and i thought it was hillarious then too.

Walk away like nothing happened.

Like today, I almost got hit by a car. It would have hit me, had I not tried to run out of the way, slipped, cut open both my knees(and my gym pants) and hit my head on a parked car. I just got up, and walked off, like it'd never happened. Luckily the pain didn't hit me until I got home.

Just laugh.

No point in feeling all embarrassed - then other people will just think it's funnier.
That's what I usually do. Laugh and ask if anyone saw what actually happened, or if someone got it on camera. Then people know it's okay to laugh too, cause you're not hurt.

Throw a smoke bomb and run.
I could say ninja'd but that would be tasteless, no?
Aye, and it would be difficult to regain one's composure after such a blunder.
Then I'll prevent said blunder, and not have to worry about regaining composure.

This happens to me from time to time where I work. I'll occasionally send a glass shattering on the floor, or wipe out a few random bottles when I open the fridge, so I just announce to everyone in the vicinity "That was me! Just making sure you know I'm still here!" or words/actions to that effect.

Usually does the trick. Failing that it's the "Oh man!" and stomp away.

I act like I planned it, or I do what you do (thumbs up) or I laugh along with it, possibly insulting myself jokingly further through words. If I'm insulting myself jokingly, it makes other people laugh more, and I feel better and less embarrassed about the entire thing.
