I tear out each piece of hair with my hands. But if I'm feeling lazy I'll use a hunting knife.

Got a nice Remmington electric shaver. That said I'd like to wet shave, its just that as the years go on the embarrassment of trying it first time and getting it all wrong only grows.
That's entirely my problem too! I'd quite like to give it a go one day, if only for the one off, but I'd end up looking like a car had hit my face, butchered.

Electric shavers are ok, but they don't feel right.

I have a better question, and I'm being totally serious with this.

Let's just say I'm Irish, and an ex told me "you should invest in a beard trimmer." She was NOT talking about my face/neck. And while I'm afraid that a normal razor would cut me to ribbons down there, I also fear that an electric would injure me as well.

Does anyone have any advice on this? Feel free to poke fun at me for asking (thank you, anonymity!).

I'm hardcore and feel like I'm dancing with death when I have a wet shave with my GILETTE FUSION MEGA 5000 ALPHA PRO RAZOR OF DESTRUCTOR!!!!!!1111ONEONEONE

Plus, when I shave, it cuts 5 years off my appearance... and I'm 22.

I shave electrically, dry, every week or so.
Partly because I'm awful at keeping a routine, and partly because I barely grow anything anyway.
Exactly this.

I've never shaved 'normally'

I use the long hair trimmer on the back of my electric shaver, trim it down to stubble. Usually once a week, sometimes it'll be two weeks if I'm really lazy, occasionally more if I decide to grow it for a while. It doesn't grow particularly fast or widespread (same goes for all the men on the side of the family that I seemingly got most of my genes from) so I can usually get away with a month or so before I start to look like a drifter.

In the past I'd go for the same trimming thing but follow it with a normal wet shave - disposable razors, foam, the whole thing - but nowadays I really can't be bothered unless I specifically have to look presentable for some reason.

Blades. Although there's something fun about electric razors when I occasionally use them, they tickle my face.

Trim with the electric. Shave with the razor in the shower.

I don't think the skin down there is suited to electrics.

I rarely find bathroom appliances attractive, but my shaving machine's the exception: http://www.argos.co.uk/wcsstore/argos/images/62-4431259SPA70UC495434M.jpg

I shower, I lather with shaving foam, I heat my blade under the tap, I shave with the grain initially quickly, then I work slowly and gently against the grain to keep it closer.

I'm disappointed no-one has made any pube jokes yet....ah well.

'TRIM' is the key word, for down there. invest in a TRIMMER. Not a RAZOR/SHAVER.

I use a flamethrower.

Or I used shaving gel and a razor in the shower when I'm low on gas.

Merkur 38c safety razor + Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge + Proraso green shave cream + Edwin Jagger pure badger brush + alum block + Nivea Revitalizing AS Fluid = close, luxurious, smooth, irritation free three-pass (2xWTG, 1xXTG) shave.

Seriously, DE shaving FTW. Still wasting wads of cash on Fusion/Mach3/Xtreme/etc. cartridges - cash that could be better spent on, oh, I dunno, more games? Not satisfied with the lack of closeness of the electric? Spend some time over at badgerandblade.com [http://www.badgerandblade.com] and theshaveden.com [http://www.theshaveden.com] to enter a world of inexpensive and awesome shaves.

Though I must bow down to those who use straight razors - they're older than oldschool, and badder than baddass.
