Seriously though, Shaving foam and anything similar causes my skin to hurt. Badly. So i just clip my beard into shape every now and then. :p

I use an electric razor most days, but when I need it looking better I'm not afraid to turn to the razor and shaving cream.

Bladed razor, shaving cream, etc, on all the parts of my face that aren't covered by my goatee, which I grew a handful of years back out of curiosity and then decided to never ever shave off when I saw it made me look like my evil twin (you can always tell by the goatee after all, ha ha).

I use a traditional pair of scissors for trimming the beard itself though, none of that new-fangled electric nonsense.

In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Gillette Fusion Power, because electrics suck. Although I'm down to only one spare blade, so I'll need to refinance my house soon so I can buy new ones...

I used to shave every other day, razor and shaving cream only. But now I go with the stubble look, so I only have to trim (electric) my beard once a week. I like the look and is less maintenance. For the neck area I still have to use a razor just to shape the beard at the edges.

For the junk, I use an electric trimmer. NEVER shave there! Eeww

On a side note, I think the number of blades on a razor are getting ridiculous. I honestly do not see the need for 12 blades at once! I am happy with a Mach3. And I would love to learn to use a straight razor

Psh, I;m totally more manly; A high precision lazer. No room for mistakes there.

But in reality, Electric, usually dry and pretty infrequently. I only really have to go to school so I'll shave if something important is coming up.

Every day, dry stubble trim with an electric trimmer. I hate being clean shaved but I hate having too much beard growth too. I've always got to have just enough stubble to look slightly dirty.

I use an old fashion bladed razor bladed, but I have an electric one for when I'm in a hurry.
Although now I let my beard grow and I'm just trimming edges.

I just slap some water on my face and use one o' them manual blades. According to a science magazine water is just as good as shaving foam and I shave often so there isn't that much effort in it.

I have a better question, and I'm being totally serious with this.

Let's just say I'm Irish, and an ex told me "you should invest in a beard trimmer." She was NOT talking about my face/neck. And while I'm afraid that a normal razor would cut me to ribbons down there, I also fear that an electric would injure me as well.

Does anyone have any advice on this? Feel free to poke fun at me for asking (thank you, anonymity!).
Me not having experience you might want to get a second opinion but I'd guess hack back with hair clippers and finish with a razor (not a strait edge unless you don't feel like having kids). Also there is an official guide on youtube from gillette or one of those companies on youtube. I found it when looking for the Gilette 3000 skit from The Late Show.

Razor, shaving cream.

Although I shave more for the sake of it, as opposed to actually being in danger of growing a bear if I don't.

It does look ridiculous if you just let a couple of strands of hair grow above your lip and on either cheek though.

Well my first "Shave" if you could call it that was with a really old electric shaver because I had bumfluff as thick as a forest (My Dad teaches me NOTHING).
Anyway Now I use a blade (flashy 5 blade check me out) and I prefer shaving Gel. I used to do the post shave thing but now I keep a goatee I don't bother with it.

I taught myself to shave and even managed to cut my nose once if you can believe that!
