How do you think World War III will pan out?

No matter what happens, America will provide propaganda to all its children saying that they won the war.

World War III will be caused by a lack of resources in countries like China and Japan. This will slowly cause political unrest. The UN will then step in but do very little because everyone is politically angry at everyone now. China will invade weaker neighbouring contries. This will pull the major counries into a milary stand off. A nuclear shock and awe tactic will be used against China. This will kill many people. China will then unconditional surrender.

The world does not end. It will be a very short war with high casualties. Not because of the amount of nuclear weapons used but where and who it is used against.

When seeing threads like this, im so glad i live in Norway and not in the US, England and other war happy countries..

Our army is so small that anyone besides Monaco and the Vatican can just stroll on in and say: All your base are belong to us! And we would capitulate and try flee to sweden since nobody cares about sweden..

Dont think anyone would take the trouble of sending a Nuke this way.. What is there to bomb here anyway? Closest neighbour is always an hour drive away! So a nuke would not kill more than a hundred people anyway!

I don't know who the war will be between, but for the love of god I hope that Britain stays neutral in it. As far as I can see that will be the only way to stand a chance of surviving the war.

Some poor brown country will start some shit, America will say," OH no you DON'T!" Some other country will say,"Oh no YOU don't!" etc. until everything, everywhere, and everyone is on fire or heavily irradiated.

How WWIII will pan out? I dont even want to think about it to be honest. One thing is for sure: death, pain and destruction. The earth may need a good cleansing to get rid of us, but im not so intent on seeing the world burn down, my friends and family die, etc. One things for sure though: I swear to you, if they somehow DONT nuke everything and there is any ground combat at all, im gonna let whoever shoot me before I shoot some guy I dont know fighting to defend some country I dont want to defend anyhow.

I'm not American, but it usually is all the "brown" countries that do cause shit. Name a single shity little backwater country that lives peacefully with its neighbours and doesnt oppress its people. I'm glad that America has taken our position as the worlds policeman and dishes out soem form of justice. Yes I know it seems that they only go into the oil rich countries but they cant be everywhere. Where are the French and Germans? So long as mainland Europe continues to look after itself it will crumble from the inside.

America also gives out a hell of a lot of aid and other humanitarian stuff that all these crappy little countries are all too happy to grab with one hand and try and murder them with the other.

On topic I wouldnt mind the former British Empire getting back together for old times sake and kicking ass (with US, India, Canada, Australia and NZ etc all banding together).

I don't know if anyone knows but after WW1 there were some very serious discussions to form a world goverment led by USA and British Empire to literally rule the world.

there will never be another world war. Period. That's not to say there won't be large scale conventional conflicts, just nothing on the scales we've seen. There are far more effective ways of fighting, like guerilla warfare.

OT: Well if WW3 were to break out soon, I think it will be sparked off by North Korea and their nuclear weapons. It's already tense enough, once they start building more and more America might begin to worry more, more pressure may be pu on North Korea to cease production. This in itself would not be enough to start a war, in fact it might just become a 2nd Cold War.

If the same sort of events that occured in the Cold War repeat once again, some countries may take covert steps to destabilise the dictatorship by plotting other, smaller, countries or rebellious movements against them as America did with the Taliban (I'm assuming the basic ideas from Charlie Wilson's War did actually happen). I don't know all that much about North Korea, but they do seem to be more antagoniostic and quicker to react to insult and outside involvement. If any covert operations were discovered they may retaliate, probably with nuclear weapons therefore sparking off a short but incredibly brutal war, in which a large number of nuclear weapons will be used against each side, targeting critical operations and large population centers.

Countries without nuclear weapons will be largely untouched and most of those countries may even remain uninvolved. The war will not take more than a month, but will have the highest number of casualties, both civilian and miltary, than any past disaster or war. It could happen as early as 2015, and I think a nuclear war is inevitable and will likely occur before the turn of the century.

That's my two cents worth. And yes I do believe nuclear war is inevitable. Whether or not it is North Korea or anyone else who triggers it I can only guess, but it will happen.

All I can say is, if someone launches a nuke at us, then we shove every one of our nukes up their asses. Then we run out of nukes and another country shoves their nukes up our ass, rinse and repeat until all the no nuke countries are alive. personally i believe world war III is already happening and has been for the last 20 years, in between the civil fighting in various parts of africa, what's going on in the middle east and mediterrainian, every now and then there's a flare up between russia and a former soviet state, then add to that the fact that north and south korea are technically still at war, and south east asia is still picking up the pieces from the cold war and they occasionaly break out in civil war/violence. don't forget the war on drugs either

the only places not involved in fighting are europe (i think...) and the islands out in the pacific.
