They actually asked me to announce it. So I'm announcing it. It's coming out in Octobre.
You clever person you. Also, I figure from your name that you're either a Swedish oceanographer or enjoy Dark Tower (like me).
As for how I'd want them to go about it, if there's some sort of cafe or something in E3 (or super close by) they should sneak a USB into a
sandvich. Whichever member of the gaming press orders and gets that particular sandwich (and hopefully doesn't accidentally eat the USB) plugs it in to find a mysterious string of binary in a document. The binary translates to a message from Glados, professing "the last safe place for the coming storm" before giving out GPS coordinates. Should one follow the coordinates, they'll find themselves at some sort of abandoned warehouse or something with a perfectly recreated safe-room inside. AFter searching around in there (possibly with some assistance form cryptic clues on the writing on the walls as to where it's hidden) whoever's in there finds a recreation of one of the discs from ricochet. Should they wear it like a hat, special sensors will be activated that play a ten hour loop of the three's company theme (keep in mind that it will only play if worn continually by an awake person, and if it's taken off it will reset). After the gaming world has coordinated itself to play the loop all the way through (Valve will continually deny any involvement, and hence won't offer any help or hints) and after the media storm that Valve knows that three exists, a small message from G-Man will play, something like "Rise again, Mr Freeman", then having the release date play out in morse-code (keeping in mind that they'll only have one chance to take it down before it resets) before cutting out to static.
