How do you want HL3 to be announced?

Alongisde the announcement that Valve had to sell the rights to Half-Life to keep afloat and gave them to Activision/EA instead.

Not announced at all. Valve could just say that they're working on L4D3 or something and the day it's released Valve goes: "Nope", and releases Half-Life 3.
