Well, I'm sure Canada will do much better after the Polar Bear Mountie war is finally over. Poor mounties are out numbered, and out brained. Mwahahaha!

I don't know much about Canada. From what I've seen(been there twice), they act a lot like Americans(Or americans act a lot like Canadians, whatever)

The first thing I think when some one says Canada is "eh." Yes, I know that's moronic.

I'm a Canadian, who is very proud of our military accomplishments over history. However, one thing on this thread that has been bugging me - we can brag about the war of 1812 until the cows come home, but the fact is Confederation didn't happen until July 1st, 1862. The hardened American soldiers were not defeated by proud Canadians, but by the First Nations, settlers, and the British military.

The really frightening part is Canada has no obligations to ever declassify material. Even the U.S. has a "50 year rule." If our secret agents didn't get their top secret documents looted from their cars during hockey games, the Canadian people would never know what was really going on.

Welcome! Welcome to Escapistmagazine.com! You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining Internet Utopias. I thought so much of Escapistmagazine.com, that I elected to establish my administration, here, in the Forums, so thoughtfully provided by our Moderators. I am proud to call Escapistmagazine.com my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through to parts unknown, welcome, to Escapistmagazine.com. It's safer here.

OT: Since Canada doesn't throw itself into the limelight like several other nations, it tends to be a somewhat forgotten nation.

canada should apologize for willingly harboring american fugitives.
You mean the free men escaping from Vietnam? If anything, YOU should be apologizing for causing them to come here in the first place with your stupid little war.
Did you know it's the 21st century? Christ ... pull your head out of your arse. I am referring to canada's policy of not extraditing criminals to the US if they think the death penalty may be applied.

No wonder americans hear so little of canada in the news. Are they even trying to catch up?

I would like to visit.....just maybe in the summer.
Bah. The winters aren't that cold. You wanna know something REALLY funny. Toronto had to Call in the Army to Shovel snow lol. And they will never live it down lol.
"Not that cold" to you means some thing different to me. I was born and raised in Hawaii. right now I'm stationed in northern California and I freeze my ass off every winter here. I can only imagine how I would deal with cold lower than 30 degrees. As to your other comment, that is EXACTLY why I joined the Air Force over the Army. Army gets screwed over every chance they get.

to my knowledge it's the only case where it happened, and our highest court just ruled that it's ok to extrade him...

so now you dont have any reason to be upset at canada...

This is NOT the first incident. The show 'Law and Order: SVU' (canadians have TVs, yes?) had an episode over two years ago that was inspired by an incident where canada refused extradition of a criminal on grounds of capital punishment.

Canada america's hat http://www.dailyhaha.com/_pics/canada_americas_hat.jpg

on a serious note. Canada is really not very out spoken in the world community and therefor not very often thought.

These threads always get so many posts, made one of 'em myself awhile back. Anyway I'm Canadian myself, I love the place but I need to travel more, see some new stuff. I've been to a few states in the U.S and they were pretty nice, but that's the farthest away from Canada I've been.

Also,IT'S NOT THAT COLD HERE!!! Our summers get up to around 30 degrees Celsius. Which is pretty hot. The difference is our winters also go to around minus 30 Celsius, so it does get cold, but it's not like we don't have hot Summers and Warm Springs.
