How easy do you make friends on forums?

I basically don't. I've never tried, as far as I'm aware. I'm not terribly averse to the idea, but no-one's ever added me, as I'd imagine I'm not a noticeable enough poster to form any sort of consistent impression on a person.

i know im not the person you directed this to but nonetheless i thought i'd reply.

How easy is it for you to actually form friendships on sites like The Escapist or other forums? I'm not talking about just clicking "Add To Friends" and never talk to them, I mean people you talk to online regularly. What does it take to get someone into your circle of contacts?

For me it's pretty simple. If you have similar interests to me and you're interesting to talk to one on one, you're good with me. It also helps if I know who you are to an extent already by seeing you on the forums posting.

Not very easily, because I rarely visit forums. Mainly because it is rare that I have something to say that hasn't already been said. Or I don't feel like wading through page after page to see if it has already been said.

Not very well... Generally I only make friends with people with big personalities that I can leech off of. Basically people have to make friends with me, I don't make friends with others; if that makes sense... It's true both online and off.

I don't make friends online. I make acquaintances of various quality.

Although I would never call anyone "wrong" for doing so, personally, I can't consider myself FRIENDS with someone I've never met in person.

I can only become friends with someone after hearing their voice. And if given the decision between a IRL friend and an Internet Friend, always the IRL friend no matter how well I know them.

Very difficult. I never add people as friends, and seldom accept invites if I don't know who sent it. I hardly ever talk to online 'friends' anyway.

I got around +25 friends here and nearly 100 on Xbox LIVE, but not one I'd consider to be an actuall friend. Then again I always sucked at making friends despite me being friendly.

I consider myself an online "crazy hermit of the woods". I descend from the hills to spout random babble, and receive a mixture of appreciation and rotten fruit in return. Very few people actually want to be around me though, because I smell. You know, 'cause of the fruit. This analogy has gotten rather unwieldy all the sudden. Back to my cave, then.

It's an administrative job in an office, I'll be like a temp at first. Hopefully will work for a career in admin.
