I even remember when I my mom and stepdad bought me my first playstation. Shit went downhill from there on forth. Honestly at some point I was really addicted. I loved gaming, and staying in school was a way to get a good job to buy more games.

But then I grew up, got drunk and had sex. Things have been better since then. The next year when I turned 12, I was still playing, but I didn't waste the entire day on it.

Now I still play quite a lot, but mostly when I have nothing else to do. And since I train so much, I don't even have that much time to play.

Gaming was been in my blood for as far back as I can remember. I feel that I write a bit better because of some games like Zelda.

Because Wario was, and still is, my favorite game character I found a sprite comic that became my introduction into the world of the Internet.

However, because of games I feel like i've missed the opportunity to do more child-like things. To this day I STILL don't know how to ride a bike. Mario didn't teach me that; just Goomba killing and a few typing basics.

I think gaming has affected me positively, for the most part. The only thing that it has truly affected negatively is the number of books I read.

Well it helps me get rid of my social life pretty effectively.
Gaming does good work. Who needs to be social anyway?
Exactly, without us "misanthropy" wouldn't have meaning. I for one take pride in supporting the English language this way.

When I was like 6, I sort of played many J-RPG's, namely Dark Cloud, Final fantasy, and others. All of the love stories has turned me into a romantic and I don't tend to refer to a woman by calling her 'ass'. Y'know the sort of thing...but no girls seem to find me a good person for not saying it.

It's made me who I am today- an opinionated fag with a hatred of incorrect grammar, despite making plenty of mistakes myself.

It's also got me out of the house, helped me form relationships which kept me alive during a pointless depression, allowed me to see views other than my parent's racism, shown me epic stories and made me care about a cloud of ones and zeroes.

So yeah, no effect at all.

How did games effect my life?

They destroyed it.

Although, like the guy above said, they stopped me from sucking on a exhaust back when my life sucked more than it does now. I've mmet some awesome people online aswell.

Helped me with a lot of things. Quick adaption, heightened visual reflexes, and generally the ability to think outside the box.

Of course it has also given me the unfortunate side-effect of being lazy.
Ya this is what has happened to me too, but games have also made me a lot of friends, I find people that live by me that enjoy the same games and things that I do through them.

Gaming is my way to remove myself from real life for awhile. (I forget that my wife is in progressive stages of dying.) I have met many people playing online, some I have met in real life and others from my own real life I have talked into gaming. Roleplaying is my forte and it seems to help work out problems I may be facing in real life.

Like others here it has helped my coordination and quick thinking.

Gaming helps me stay awake during the really boring classes and also provides the lack of boredom.

I really do love the time I spend on games and playing games with friends (online and real), but at the same time I can't shake the feeling that I would be a lot more "social" if it weren't for games if you know what I mean.

Life? Um, what's that?

Wait...somethings coming back to me now...from my early childhood...very...hazy...er...what was I thinking about again? Never mind, couldn't have mattered.

Eh? That's strange - why is my PlayStation switched off?

Who else can hate humanity like us gamers? I thought misanthropy meant hating the human race because of it's faults?
