Gaming is my way to remove myself from real life for awhile. (I forget that my wife is in progressive stages of dying.) I have met many people playing online, some I have met in real life and others from my own real life I have talked into gaming. Roleplaying is my forte and it seems to help work out problems I may be facing in real life.

Like others here it has helped my coordination and quick thinking.
I am sorry about your wife.

Video games helped me because they made me realize my dream of being a A.I. Programmer.
Same here. But the countless hours spent gaming may have contributed to the fact that I am almost 19 and still a virgin. Haha, on the bright side I get to play awesome things like Gears 2 and CoD.
I am 21 and still a virgin.

Well it helps me get rid of my social life pretty effectively.
Gaming does good work. Who needs to be social anyway?
Exactly, without us "misanthropy" wouldn't have meaning. I for one take pride in supporting the English language this way.
Who else can hate humanity like us gamers? I thought misanthropy meant hating the human race because of it's faults?
No, misanthropy is just a dislike or hatred of people. Your right, as gamers who just sit back and view the world from a distance, we are truly able to hate humanity to its fullest extent.

Bad: Back Posture (Though I've always had that), Tricked me into thinking I can play a Piano

We do good work. Maybe a little too good.

At one time, gaming was bad for my life. Or, perhaps gaming was the result of problems I was having. Hard to draw conclusions. But at current, I would say my life affects my gaming more than the other way.

It has brought me into the fantasy realm were i can smite evil foes and rescue damsales in distress and own my own digimon. Bad side effects my ass i would so totally pwn you n00b for you insolence in thinking that videogames can have a negative effect on: love life, friends, family, money, grades, grasp on reality, and sense of humor. In my castle of absolute frotitude I shun those that do not worship the videogame gods as i do.(owww the sarcasim hurts)

It made me less violent. Honestly.
Glad I ain't the only one to say that. Also, as far social things, it was hard in high-school, but I think my nerdiness is respectable at the college-level. Maybe because I went to a school where there were three guys including myself who could count as "nerds."
