I care, but I don't do anything about it, my hair remains wavy and the only make up I wear is a tiny bit of eyeliner... I'd rather spend my money on games than clothes...

It's important, but not critical. I keep my goatee trimmed, shave and shower daily, and get regular haircuts. My fashion sense is simplistic, but I wear clean and wrinkle-free clothes. At 6'1" and 175lbs, my body is good enough, although I'm a bit self-conscious about the scars of adolescence borne on my back... not much I can do about that.

There are days when I'll say "screw it" and be a slob for a day. Like those days when I've spent all night studying for an exam, and days when I know I'm just going to be at home, sweating bullets doing work on my car, in the backyard, etc. I don't care if I look like hell on exam day, I just want to get it over with so I can go home and sleep!

I have short hair and I don't have to do anything to it. I also will admit I don't shower as much as I should. I am also very slightly overweight and I don't care about fashion.

I don't really care, though I try to have my hair in a certain way. That's due to function though, otherwise I can't see.

I care a lot admittedly, workout a lot, buy nice clothes, etc. I think its important for your personal confidence and self esteem. a lot of people say they don't care what they look like, but I think everyone must care at least a little bit.

I usually wear some sort of business or t-shirt and jeans set up though like everyone else. But they are mostly some sort of serious brand, like armani or guess. But i do have my cheap shirts, like the Hendrix or the white button up. or the when I need them. I go back in forth from short hair to long, always done though. Maybe sometimes ill have a un-shaven look.

blah i cant go out with out my hair not being straight >_<
Hmm.
Honestly, I don't see a reason for having your hair straightened at the front and spikey at the back other than being gay. I mean, if you are, that's totally cool... but I should tell you that the hairstyle you sport went out in 2003.
Sorry, I took an oath to tell that everyone with that hairstyle. My best friend went out with someone with that hair style briefly, I told it to him and it was funny times. Apparently he was lacking downstairs. I'm not saying the two are related but... ok I'll stop. Sorry, can't help myself. :D

My appearance doesn't really matter to be, but wherever you go, you WILL get judged on your appearance, so it makes sense to make a good first impression. I've never really rated myself physically, so I just take on board compliments and capitalise on them. Ultimately, it's not me who has to look at myself and quite frankly, I quite like it when girls feel my hair. Not that I'm weird or anything. It's short and messy now. Feedback has been good.
lol that picture was taken ages ago dude my hairs just straightened now and not spiked up at the back

and I now sport very fashionable but practical military jackets. Though make-up is still off my list for the moment. I'm too lazy to do it.
Military Jackets = Awesome.
I can't stop buying more of them, my clothes rack is overflowing :|

And yeah - If I was a chick I'd avoid makeup whenever possible, somehow I don't think it's healthy for the skin.
I only wear military jackets. No pants. No shoes. Just jackets. Makeup is uncomfortable. You can't rub your eyes and you can easily over do it. I used to use a bit to cover up the odd pimple in school but I don't get anymore (thank god) so I don't need to.
Yeah sometimes I we..Wait!... you... what?

You go full Monty, with just a Jacket over the top?
I'm pretty sure you can get fined for that in some places!
Well yeah. Don't you? I could get fined?! Hell that's not good.
But yes, military jackets are probably the most sexiest items of clothing I've ever known. If I see a guy in a m. jacket, I *swoon*.

Depends how depressed I am. The more depressed I am, the more self conscious I feel...
I read of a study about people inbuilt mechanism of seeing themselves as prettier than they are (So as to give them self confidence among other things).

The study said that given a rating scale out of 10, anorexic and depressed people were the only ones who rated themselves appropriately-roughly the same as the average they recieved from the other participants. The other people rated themselves I think on average 1 point higher (so a 5 would be a 6) than the rest of the subjects voted them.

Interesting, no?

Boys can just slap on a t shirt and jeans, ruffle up you stupid short hair, and spray on some axe or whatever.
I'm hurt :(

My alternative to slapping on a t shirt and jeans (just one outfit example)
$90 grey Ben Sherman dress shirt
$80 Jag "italian fit" zip up jumper
$150 Nice slim cut Charcoal Calvin Klein jeans
$40 Optimus Prime Belt buckle
$40 for the damn belt in the first place
$30 black Calvin Klein boxers
$15 low cut Jag black socks
$140 DVS Accomplice leather shoes
varied necklace/bracelets/rings depending on the occasion.

Stupid short hair...
$32 american crew molding clay
$30 haircuts about every month (i like it specifically this length)

And my axe?
$110 Paco Rabanne One Million
$10 Rexona for men odorless antiperspirant
$5 Eclipse peppermint (counts as a smell i guess, always got a box on me)

And i can assure you all i am quite straight indeed.

I generally don't care all that much about my appearance unless I'm going to some sort of awkward social function. I don't often put much make-up on (though I will if I'm attending said social functions), I don't do much to my hair aside from brushing it, and I wear clean clothes that usually match (no guarantees, though). The only thing I really care about is my personal hygiene, such as showering and brushing my teeth daily, and hygiene can have a lot to do with a person's appearance.
