Only when I've dyed my hair, but neglected to shave for a bit. I'm currently sporting blue-black hair with a dark blonde goatee. Doesn't look as terrible as it sounds... still don't like it though.

I'm not even remotely fussed about image or clothes and cause of that I get a lot of comments at work like 'you look like a student' or 'get a hair cut and shave' or 'buy less baggy clothes' but meh, as I said... don't care.

Tend to spend my life in band T-shirts, sneakers and combats... suits just aren't comfortable.

I am fussed about being clean though, shower everyday, sometimes twice, trim my goaty when it gets to be a bit long take care of myself physically (not toned but not overweight).

she would stab you in the neck if she knew you called her emo.
No offense to you or her, but she does look rather emo in that photo.
Yeah, I know.
But she'd still stab you, no questions asked, if you said it to her.
Well, that's why I'd first tell her that you agree.
Aside from the fact that I will never meet this person and could care less if she wanted to stab me, that is.

Hmm an extensive shower in the morning while brushing my teeth at the same time. I have pretty good deodorant. Normal Axe spray doesn't work for me unfortunately, I really prefer cold over warm because I'm a quick sweat :/

I'm currently working on my graduation thesis, so I don't do much else. The last few months/years I never do my hair, except if I'm going out or have some important meeting. I think its fine the way it is, perhaps I occasionally shape it with a quick hand movement, but that's about it. I shave every other day usually, but now I don't have to much time for that.

I wear clean undie's, t-shirts and socks every day, and make sure I don't have dirty or even smelling pants or buttoned shirts on. But on a day off or in weekends I can be a bit of a slob.

Depends how depressed I am. The more depressed I am, the more self conscious I feel...
I read of a study about people inbuilt mechanism of seeing themselves as prettier than they are (So as to give them self confidence among other things).

The study said that given a rating scale out of 10, anorexic and depressed people were the only ones who rated themselves appropriately-roughly the same as the average they recieved from the other participants. The other people rated themselves I think on average 1 point higher (so a 5 would be a 6) than the rest of the subjects voted them.

Interesting, no?
I suppose you spend so much time with your own appearance you get a sort of stockholm syndrome like affection for it...

I like looking hot, but I don't put ANY effort into it. Those rare occasions when I do look attractive, it's entirely accidental.

When I had long hair (until two weeks ago), I, in the morning, always had to comb with a wet comb and wear a hat, so they would be straight and not messy etc.
I usually shower in the morning, but that was even worse.

Now I have a lot shorter hair, and I've been experimenting, even using gel etc, and of course, it's a love or mock kind of thing, but I look pretty, uhh, "fly for a white guy".

Also, I wear fashionable clothes.
Of course, even a year ago, hell, even half a year ago, I bought clothes that, while looking at now, I think "wow, how could I buy clothes so ugly, immature and just plain-out...non-likeable?".

I shower every day, put deodorant on every time I go out, but since I'm a boy, there's a huge chance I don't use make-up of any kind, and I don't.
It's a good thing my skin is pretty well maintained, since I don't have any pimples or anything.

So yeah, I'm pretty sexy.

I try to look acceptible, though I do have a problem with shoes, I only have two pairs. I have loads of clothes but I'm not really established in the shoe department. I used to have shoulder length curly hair but I cut it a few months ago. Now it's at the annoying stage of being totally unmanageable. I do try though, I spend a lot on coats. I like a good coat.

Not that important, but I'm not exactly attractive either.
Don't do anything fancy with my hair (but I'm a guy), don't wear anything notable (like designer clothes or insignias), and I don't really do much for my appearance. I just compensate with my psychotic personality.

People judge you by your appearance. The only people who won't judge you badly for looking like a slob are people who have already suffered the consequences of looking like a slob on a daily basis. This is the sad truth. It's not all about getting the ladies (although that's part of it).

The better you look the more arbitrary favours you receive, the easier your life is, and the happier you are. The importance of appearance cannot be stressed enough, pretty people are better.

This is not a shallow point of view, just the result of observation. We cannot resist being nicer to better looking people regardless of gender, and truly attractive people can be morally bankrupt and still loved. Therefore appearance is the most important aspect of a human being, you should think about nothing else until you can be judged well by your cover.

Can't say I agree with you. If its a lady the main thing I'm after is how she's built, and if she takes care of her body or not. If the girl is really beautiful, make up kind of spoils it, but I've made it a goal not to treat women differently by amount of make up they manage to skoff in their face, only their physique. But a guy that has 3 liters of hair gel/wax on his head in skin tight clothes, I treat him like the tosser that he is.
I have more respect for guys that just put on something that they feel is comftorable, even if it makes them looks like a horses-ass, rather than some pretentious tosser that has the moral appeal of a doughnut, and takes 30 minutes of his life every day to look like some fashion ad he saw on TV. You are not completely off here BlindTom (Ironic name given your opinion on the subject), but I treat guys who make LESS of an effort to make themselves look nice much better than the other kind. A guy that doesn't have a small hole in the ozone over his house gets my respect even if he looks alot worse, since he doesn't need anything else than his personality to keep things going for him.

If you are going to do anything with those extra 30 minutes it should be pushups, pistols and eathing healthy. A pair of jeans, black t-shirt, pair of shades and a pack of smokes(it's otional though) beats every single fashion fad in excistance.

and I now sport very fashionable but practical military jackets. Though make-up is still off my list for the moment. I'm too lazy to do it.
Military Jackets = Awesome.
I can't stop buying more of them, my clothes rack is overflowing :|

And yeah - If I was a chick I'd avoid makeup whenever possible, somehow I don't think it's healthy for the skin.
I only wear military jackets. No pants. No shoes. Just jackets. Makeup is uncomfortable. You can't rub your eyes and you can easily over do it. I used to use a bit to cover up the odd pimple in school but I don't get anymore (thank god) so I don't need to.
Yeah sometimes I we..Wait!... you... what?

You go full Monty, with just a Jacket over the top?
I'm pretty sure you can get fined for that in some places!
Well yeah. Don't you? I could get fined?! Hell that's not good.
But yes, military jackets are probably the most sexiest items of clothing I've ever known. If I see a guy in a m. jacket, I *swoon*.
Well no... Maybe it's different for chicks but I generally don't leave the house without my pants.

Oh really? Mind if i picture that everytime I go out in my military coats as a confidence booster? :)
